Every executive in an organization is expected to have some basic knowledge in finance. Irrespective of what primary area of work they are in, managers need to take decisions. These decisions cannot be taken without knowing the financial implications. The outcome of any decision should ultimately create wealth for the shareholders.
Finance for non-finance executives is specially designed to provide basic knowledge in the areas of managerial accounting and corporate finance and the use of financial data in decision-making, analysis and valuation. The emphasis will be on the various aspects of Balance sheet analysis and managing finance, which will help the managers to make better strategic and operational decisions. The ultimate aim of this programme is to equip today’s managers with right skills and knowledge in finance to deal with the changing business paradigms.

Faculty
Programme Director: Prof A K Puri is a Senior Professor in Finance at FORE School of Management. He has 14 years of experience as bank executive and 15 years of teaching experience at IMT Ghaziabad, a top ranking B- school. Prof. Puri has been regularly involved in teaching as adjunct faculty at Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow and Department of Operations Research, University of Delhi. He has conducted Management Development Programmes and undertook consultancy assignments for a large number of corporate clients. He has been examiner and moderator of Institute of Company Secretaries of India, All India Management Association, Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow and Guru Ramrai Institute of Management, Dehradun. His areas of interest & specialization include Financial Derivatives and Risk Management, International Financial Management, Security Analysis and Portfolio Management, Working Capital Management, Management of Commercial Banks, Management of Financial Institutions, Management of Insurance, International Business Strategy, Entrepreneurship Development and Corporate Financial Management. He has contributed articles in domestic & International publications.
Other experienced faculty and practitioners from industry will be involved in conduct of the programme.
