For me, it began not in a corporate lab but in rural classrooms, where I introduced BBC micro:bit robotics to young students. Our mission was simple yet impactful: teach the basics of robotics to students in Zilla Parishad schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What I Did:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conducted over 300 training sessions in 10+ schools<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Taught 200+ students and 50+ teachers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Focused on block-based coding, sensors, and micro:bit controls<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The BBC micro:bit\u2019s LED matrix, accelerometer, and Bluetooth functionality made it an ideal teaching tool for beginners. More than that, teaching it helped me learn how to break down complex concepts, communicate clearly, and build structured lesson plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Skills Developed:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Syllabus customization and delivery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Project planning and classroom execution<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Device troubleshooting and sensor integration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communication and mentoring skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These soft and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.naukri.com\/campus\/career-guidance\/technical-skills-in-resume-for-freshers\">technical skills<\/a>&nbsp;became the building blocks for my transition into a full-fledged robotics project in college.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Smart_Bike_Project\"><\/span>Smart Bike Project<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After nearly a year of teaching, I was eager to apply everything I\u2019d learned to a real-world problem. This led to my college-level innovation\u2014Smart Bike\u2019s Automatic Sidelight Indicator and Anti-Collision System.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Project Overview<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The controller for the Smart Bike was Arduino Uno. My goal was to enhance road safety using affordable and accessible technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Features<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Automatic sidelights based on tilt detection<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Obstacle detection using ultrasonic sensors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Buzzer and haptic alerts for immediate feedback<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emergency braking logic for collision prevention<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sensors Used<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>MPU6050 \u2013 for tilt sensing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ultrasonic sensor \u2013 for obstacle detection<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This wasn\u2019t just a prototype; it was a complete project that taught me to combine logic, safety, and real-time data processing to solve a pressing problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Advice_for_Students_Interested_in_Robotics_or_Engineering_Projects\"><\/span>Advice for Students Interested in Robotics or Engineering Projects<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re considering diving into robotics, here\u2019s what worked for me and what I\u2019d recommend to others:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Start Teaching or Volunteering:<\/strong>\u00a0Sharing your knowledge forces you to learn and simplify.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Master One Microcontroller:<\/strong>\u00a0Whether it\u2019s Arduino or micro:bit, learn it thoroughly before branching out.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Document Your Progress:<\/strong>\u00a0Maintain a portfolio on GitHub, Notion, or even a blog.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Begin Small:<\/strong>\u00a0Start with simple projects like LED blinking and work your way up to sensor automation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Solve Real Problems:<\/strong>\u00a0Align your projects with actual challenges\u2014like bike safety, power outages, or smart homes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>My journey from teaching robotics to building a smart safety system for bikes was more than a technical upgrade; it was a mindset shift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It wasn\u2019t just the microcontroller or the code that made the difference.
