Journey

My coding journey started a bit late than my batchmates and my friends. I was very careless in the first two years of my graduation. I started to learn coding from the third year which is a bit strange. I learned C++ and then started to practice DSA from the 150 question sheet from a youtube. I also learned Web Development from a online course. I started late because of which I had to increase my practice hours in the end. But at last I was able to get a job as SDE-1 in Rudder Analytics.

Application story

It was the placement season, and we were worried about our jobs as we were in a tier 3 college. Not many companies came there to hire candidates, which was disheartening for us. But my friend texted me that Rudder Analysis is a company and it is coming to our campus for the hiring of candidates for the post of SDE-1. I was very happy for the opportunity and took part in the interview process.

Why selected/rejected for the role?

I was selected for the post because they were looking for a guy with string thinking capacity and good communication skills and I was able to prove myself on both these points.

Tip

Tip 1 : Must do Previously asked Interview as well as Online Test Questions.

Tip 2 : Go through all the previous interview experiences from Codestudio and Leetcode.

Tip 3 : Do at-least 2 good projects and you must know every bit of them.

This was Group Discussion round and students were divided into group of 10 students in each group. The topic was based on E-learning, its pros and cons. I explained all my points to the GD handler politely and properly and got selected for next round.

Firstly I gave the interviewer a hashing solution but that was taking extra space so the interviewer asked me to reduce its time complexity thereafter I gave him the Floyd algorithm approach using two pointers that are fast and slow.
