Eligibility Criteria
- The participant must be at least 18 years old at the time of entry/registration and a resident of India. Participation in this Event is entirely optional.
- Participants must be B.E./B. Tech/M.E./M.Tech students who will graduate in 2023, 2024, or 2025.
Recruitment Process
HackWithInfy is a coding competition for engineering students in India graduating in 2023, 2024, and 2025. The program is specifically designed to instill a culture of rapid problem-solving and innovative thinking in students early in their academic careers.
HackWithInfy is the ideal platform for students to explore their interest in programming while also giving them the opportunity to compete and win exciting prizes. Top performers will also be given the opportunity to work for Infosys.
Round 1
Round 1 for recruitment will be an online coding competition. It will consist of three questions based on different data structures and algorithms. Anyone who appears for this exam can write their code in any programming language of their wish.
The difficulty of these three questions will be moderate to difficult. These questions must be completed within the stipulated time, i.e., three hours.
If you can solve 1-2 questions in this round, then you are highly likely to qualify for the next round in HackwithInfy(HWI).
Round 2 - Grand Finale
Top 100 performers in the online coding contest will be invited to one of the Infosys premises for the Grand-finale of HWI. Infosys will host these participants and conduct a 48 hours hackathon, a team event.
Finalists not only participate in the hackathon in the final round, but they also learn about the culture and work at Infosys through various interactive sessions.
Finalists are divided into teams and given the option of selecting one of five problem statements. The problem statements are based on real-world technological challenges that the world is facing. The teams must develop an end-to-end solution for the problem statement they chose.
Artificial intelligence, machine learning and insights, facial recognition, real-time location tracking, computer security, and 3D modeling, among other things, are expected to be used by the finalists.
Each team will also be assigned a mentor, who will guide them in developing a solution for the chosen problem statement and ensuring that the solution is implemented satisfactorily within the time frame specified.
Yes, you are absolutely right. The winners of the hacking contest will be awarded a whopping amount of Rs 2,00,000, and the first runner-up and second runners-up will get an amount of Rs 1,00,000 and Rs 50,000, respectively.
Infosys will take care of the accommodation and logistics of the participants But mind you, the difficulty of the hackathon will be tough.
Interview
All the participants who qualified for the first round of HWI will be appearing for a technical interview with the company for different job profiles, according to their performances in the test.
Although there is no fixed syllabus for the technical interview, it is believed that the interview would be based on Resume, Data structure and algorithms, Core subjects, and Project. There can also be some behavioral questions that Interviewer will ask in the interview.
After completing all of the recruitment processes of HWI, the candidates are selected for different job roles like power programmer, system engineer, etc., and they finally end their hunt for getting into a top company.
