Introduction

Ready API

While running the load tests, we create loads the server must control in a specific way. So we use the Monitoring page of the ReadyAPI for creating and running distributed load tests.

ReadyAPI tracks numerous metrics of the web server in which we run our tests and check if it performs how you expected it to perform.

To create our server monitors, we use the Server Monitoring panel, and to monitor the server statistics during the runtime, we use the Server Monitoring Chart panel.

Server Inspector

The server property inspector panel on the right can be used to:

  • Rename a server monitor or
  • To change the server IP address.

To rename a server monitor, we enter the new name in the Name field of the monitor section.

To change the server IP address of a monitor, we enter the new IP address in the Host field in the server section.

We click on the Test Connection button to check if our monitor is connected to the server.

The values of server login settings for each monitor type can be changed in the corresponding monitor section.

What is Load Testing?

Load Testing refers to a kind of performance testing that imitates real-world conditions on the user application or website that is to be tested.

What is Distributed Load Tests?

A single computer is incompetent to generate enough load to properly test the servers, in such situations, we use Distributed Load Tests, i.e., using multiple computers to imitate the load on the target server.

What is Server Monitoring?
