Job Description Job brief

We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, persuasive &competitive admissions counsellor to develop sales strategies and attract new students. You will be responsible for influencing potential students to enrol in the programs offered by the Institute by giving them correct & complete information about the programs and admissions. You will be responsible to source new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve targets. You will play a key role in increasing admissions, generating leads, qualifying prospects and managing sales.

You must be able to understand the students requirements in a short time and present solutions that meet their needs. You must be an excellent communicator and have superior people skills, also comfortable presenting program details over the phone.


Responsibilities:

  1. Meet personal and team admission targets
  2. Get the sale using various customer sales methods (Inbound, Referrals, Outbound, presentations, networking etc)
  3. Contact potential students to inform them about relevant program using scripts to provide information about program features and their benefits
  4. Cold call people using a given database to enrol students 
  5. Ask pertinent questions to understand the students requirements
  6. Evaluate potential students skills, needs and build productive long lasting relationships
  7. Research accounts and generate or follow through leads
  8. Attend meeting, events and trainings to keep abreast of the latest developments
  9. Maintain and expand student database within your assigned territory/school
  10. Adherence of the sales/ admission process from plan to closure
  11. Ensuring recording & updating the details in the CRM
  12. Implementing all BTL activities for the Institute
  13. Create frequent reviews and reports with sales data
  14. Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences
  15. Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections
  16. Collaborate with team to achieve better results


Requirements

  1. Proven counselling experience
  2. Track record of over-achieving targets
  3. Experience working with Sales force or similar CRM is a plus
  4. Familiarity with different sales/counselling techniques and pipeline management
  5. Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to prospects
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  7. Computer use competency
  8. Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  9. Fast learner and passion for sales
  10. Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  11. Availability to travel as needed
