    Position: Area Sales Manager

    Reporting to: Assistant Territory Manager

MEE aims to make Indizel accessible and affordable to one and all through its Fuel stations.     o To implement various sales strategies in area of operation for achieving secondary and tertiary sales as per annual business plan.

    o To prepare and follow permanent journey plan (PJP) based on the sales area covered and proposed new coverage area. Based on the PJP, preparation of beat plan to cover the retail outlets.

    o To monitor fuel availability at the outlets, to take orders from the retailer and communicate the same to distributors.

    o Ensure timely stock delivery to the market by co-coordinating with distributor.

    o Responsible for achieving daily / weekly / monthly / targets.

    o Responsible for getting approvals from key accounts/retailers.

    o Responsible for communicating and carrying out trade
    promotional activities.

    o To coordinate with channel executive and merchandisers for executing Promotional and marketing Initiatives in sales area.
    Adding to this, ascertaining the marketing needs of the retailer and coordinating with marketing personnel for designing and executing the need based promotional activities.

    Key Account Management

    o To understand and implement strategies at ground/operational level in terms of trade promotions and sales related queries, by identifying key retailers based on their categories in his territory.

    o To identify key retailers in his sales territory that accounts for the maximum sales in the assigned zone but are not the loyal customers of the company. Responsible for understanding and gathering the requirements that shall help in penetrating competitors market.

    Channel Management

    o To coordinate with distributor sales personnel for smooth functioning of order management and to avoid duplication of work. Additionally, resolve any discrepancies with retailer/distributor if exist.

    o To coordinate with the distributor for Permit Planning for dispatch of goods.

    o To facilitate distribution mechanics like frequency, time of delivery and ensure proper distribution through distributor.

    o To collect feedback from the retail outlets with regard to any sales and marketing related queries/complaints and resolve the issues. If the issues cant be resolved, then escalate the issue to the area sales manager/Area manager.


    o To prepare daily sales report, weekly sales report, stock statement, collection statement, retail promotion expenditure statement.

    o To gather competitor information Sales (Volume, Value) data product category wise through distributors and from retailers (retail Audit) & Marketing activities

    People Management

    o To coordinate with other sales executives in the sales zone and share market information and good sales practices for smooth execution of sales function.

    o To attend technical and soft skill training programs conducted by training managers in respective sales zone.

    o To keep one-self updated with the regulatory framework of the wine industry.

    o To identify high potential and new retail outlets for distribution in the territory. The aim of the sales executive should be not only to increase the sales revenue in the existing sales zone but to increase the coverage area.
