    Job Summary:
    The key role of this position is to oversee the financial reporting function for one or more Ernst & Young area or practice sub areas. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring periodic report generation, data reconciliation and analysis. Job holder will participate in the financial planning, revenue planning and forecasting data reconciliation activities. Identify business trends and recommending courses of action to management. Leads and contribute in the implementation of advances in technology and software, to meet changing business needs.

    Essential Functions of the Job:
    Client Responsibilities
    Assists in the management of workflow through efficient utilization of financial analyst staff
    Provide guidance, direction and evaluation of work of senior and junior financial analysts.
    Mentor and trains individuals to perform tasks of increasing complexity e.g. training people on Business Unit parameters, track changes that are made
    in the reports.
    Provide data and interpretation of financial results, including statistical analysis, written communications and oral presentations
    Communicate with the concerned personnel to resolve open issues
    Assist in database / stored procedures optimization, running jobs and improving data update timelines.
    Performs inventory reporting as required. Devise methodology to set measurable goals and tracks results against those goals
    Handle requests for ad hoc reports or financial information and ensures that expectations are met
    Assist implementation of new procedures to ensure efficient and effective operation of finance related processes
    Provides active support and participation in task forces, initiatives and projects

    Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:
    Conduct an in-depth analysis of data and financial reports to make more meaning reports. Need to analyze the open items in reconciliation and resolve the same.
    Root cause analysis of issues and ensuring adequate internal control procedures in place
    Performing variance analysis and providing necessary inputs/inferences out report findings.
    Mentoring and coaching team members to provide their observations /inferences in the reports.

    Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
    SQL knowledge and ability to use SQL to build large data tables and then be able to give guidance to others who are less technical in how to use the table. Create TSQL queries and stored procedures as required and optimization of existing stored procedures.
    Knowledge of MS Office tools, SSRS, SSAS, DAX, MDX queries
    Working knowledge on visualization tools like Power BI, Spot fire, Tableau
    Possess analytical and problem solving skills
    Understand financial reporting objectives and basic process flow
    Have positive attitude in approaching issues
    Ability to understand numbers and arrive at inferences
    Good communication skills both written and oral
    Exposure to data reconciliation
    Be flexible to work in shifts
    Working knowledge on SAP is an added advantage

    Supervision Responsibilities:
    Review of work carried out by the Seniors /Junior Analysts
    Adherence to SLA requirements by team
    Coach team members on effective review of reports and drive robust review mechanism in the team.
    Take lead in process transition activities

    Job Requirements:

    Accountancy Qualifications (CA/ICWA)
    MBA/ B.Com/ CA Inter/ CWA Inter

    8-10 years in handling financial reporting or other accounting processes.
