Position summary :
GFS FinOps Strategic Projects - Associate Vice President

Area: Strategic Project Initiatives (SPI)

Team Overview:
The Strategic Project Initiatives team is responsible for advancing data-driven operations for GFS FinOps and for assisting with strategic projects. The senior manager role will lead five analysts who are aligned to one of the FinOps process verticals (PTP, RTR, MDM, CTC-Front Office, CTC-Back Office). The SPI SM will report to a SM in the U.S. and the organization will report to the Director of Financial Operations for GFS. The SPI team will help each FinOps process leader develop, record, and report SLEs and KPIs for their area. The SPI team will also execute strategic projects for the FinOps Director and for the leader of each process vertical. The SPI team will collaborate closely with the process teams to ensure they understand the processes, objectives, and challenges each process area faces. They will help identify opportunity for process improvement. SPI will help FinOps achieve its goals and drive its agenda.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
Help GFS Director and SPI SM to develop and implement strategy for GFS FinOps
Work in partnership with GFS FinOps leadership and process teams (RTR, CTC, PTP, MDM) to understand their business needs, identify process improvements, and implement strategic initiatives.
Develop, record, and report SLEs and KPIs for all Member Firms served by GFS (currently US, UK, AU, CA)
Perform analysis of operations to identify process improvement opportunities.
Drive change to organizational alignment to ensure readiness for future SWIFT waves (SAP S/4 implementation & onboarding to GFS - shared financial services model)

Participate in strategic projects with the process teams through research, data analysis, report generation, and project management.

Desired Candidate Profile

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance or Accounting or related field
10 years of relevant experience in financial processes with deep analytical experience
Ability to collaborate with clients to identify needs, define requirements, scope and objectives of project initiatives to address those needs, and deliver associated projects
Demonstrated proficiency in project management including ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, navigate complex problems, and build relationships with GFS leadership, personnel, and clients
Proven business acumen, including ability to communicate across all levels of an organization, ability to work across cultures and time zones, and demonstrated success in meeting organizational goals
Ability to build relationships and networks throughout GFS and with its clients
Supports process innovation and optimization while ensuring quality of financial service delivery
Demonstrated ability to drive change management across diverse organizations.
Very strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required. Experience with Access & Project are desired
Knowledge of SAP desired
Demonstrated advanced analytical abilities and attention to detail required
Self-directed working style, demonstrated ability to accomplish tasks according to tight deadlines without supervision
Project management and continual process improvement experience preferred
Excellent English communication skills both verbal and written, other language skills a plus.
