    Manager - Product Management





    Roles & Responsibilities:

    Strategy

    Creates and owns the product roadmap and must prioritize building what matters most to achieve the strategic goals and initiatives behind the product.


    Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.


    Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing.


    Discover the need-gap based on international trends, market requirements, and feedback from sales team and conceptualize product ideas and review specific requirement.


    Ideation

    Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.


    Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.


    Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, marketing, and production.


    Makes difficult trade-off decisions based on the value that new features will deliver to customers and to the business.
    Product managers own the creative process of generating, developing, and curating new ideas. Also, determine which ideas should be promoted into features to push the product strategy forward namely those that will achieve key objectives for the product line and business.


    Analytical Skills

    Product manager should go deeper to create their own key performance indicators that will help them measure and optimize the behavior that matter especially to company's business results.
    Obtains product market share by working with sales head to develop product sales strategies.


    Assesses product market data and evaluating the results ( Forecasted vs Actual and Sell-through achievement)


    Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses; answering questions and requests.


    Facilitates inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and production schedules.
    Do mirror analysis before adding any similar styles or size in the product list.


    Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information
    International coordination

    Set-up product vision and strategy. Clearly articulate the business value to the production team, so they understand the intent behind the new product or product release.


    Planning the Structure of the product Range with product team (global) keeping in mind existing products, mirror analysis, market and financial requirements.


    Work closely with engineering on the technical specifications and ensure that team (global) have all of the information they need to deliver a complete product to market.


    Finalize product colors (as per the season) , novelty addition , NOS color addition , new launches in coordination with global team.


    Structure a weekly meeting with global team and take a update on production status.


    Resolve queries in the coordination with CD (India and Srilanka) and provide support to ISP team for the seasonal productions.


    Other responsibilities

    Provides source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives.


    Arrange samples for the sales team before every launch and provides them full deck of product information


    Share sales folder (with USP, price point and other details of the product) with sales team 2 months before the product launch
    Practice discretion when discussing the production roll-out and maintain confidentiality


    Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning meeting to discuss product performance; following up on work results.


    Responsible for the product boxes development and production and review packaging changes if required.


    Coordinate with global team with regards to product development , changes , packaging and update CD time to time


    Coordinate with warehouse team or manufacturing team, ensure the timely dispatches of the product launches in warehouse, and update sales team if any changes foreseen in a launch plan.


    Manage the customer enquiry portal and provide timely and relevant solutions to customer enquires/ grievances ensuring maximum customer satisfaction


    Your ideal profile:

    Minimum 7 years of experience in Product Development
    Person should be fine with travelling
    Good communication skills, Able to handle pressure, Good team player
    Product knowledge/ Product development is a must
