The position requires an experienced moldflow analyst with expertise in the use of Moldflow analysis for product and tooling evaluations prior to design release. The candidate shall be responsible for Evaluating Fill, Pack and Warp based on isothermal cooling conditions. Suggest design team to make design robust against the warpage. Provide Optimized solution and determine best fill pattern for parts with the minimal number of drops with weld lines in allowable locations, while staying within the required pressure and tonnage requirements.
Develops, and coordinates all activities related to the introduction of new tools.
Keeps abreast of new technologies related to design and manufacturing.
Interactive member of technical cross-functional teams providing technical expertise, innovation and teamwork.
Coordinates Moldflow reviews in assigned projects.
Schedules periodic project status updates.
Knows and uses various management systems to track mold builds. (Excel & PowerPoint)
Provides project delivery and resource timing to program managers.
Provide moldflow simulations support to day-to-day CAE requests
Setup moldflow models and simulations
Provide moldflow simulations to evaluate tool/product design
Carryout moldflow analysis for various parts and support the product and tooling team with analytical insights from the simulations.
Setup/debug moldflow models and simulations;
Provide moldflow simulations to evaluate tool/product design.
Support product and tooling teams to identify potential issues and brainstorm solutions for the same.
Correlate CAE predictions with physical trials; adopt enhancements to existing methods to enhance quality of prediction.
Enhance Moldflow capabilities with continuous enhancement to existing methods and processes; and by adapting state of art technology from the market.
Support project moldflow analysis
Key Skills & Knowledge in:
Exposure to automotive interior and injection molding process
Innovative thinking skills
Work with conflicting priorities and goals
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a tooling engineer working with injection molding and tool building.
Polymer processing a plus
