    About the multi-sector nutrition project Overview

    This project is supported by a well-known international foundation and it will be implemented from 2017-2020 at the national level and in three States. It will focus on strengthening three platforms, RMNCHA in Jharkhand, ICDS in Rajasthan and Odisha Livelihood Mission (OLM) in Odisha to improve maternal and child nutrition. The learnings from these experiences will be shared regularly on a national platform that will bring together key development partners and Government stakeholders. A major component of this project will involve work with multiple donors and ministries/ Depts.

    Job Description Position Summary
    IPE Global invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of a Communication Specialist.
    The communication specialist would be responsible for defining and implementing the overall communication strategy and plan for different stakeholders addressed by the project.with a purpose of building WeCans brand identity .Additionally the role involves being able to draw and document learnings from the practice and communicate them effectively to the external audience through effective mediums.
    Key Responsibilities
    Develop the communication strategy for the project and its implementation through the project trajectory.
    Draw insights and trends on media and social media reporting on nutrition of pregnant and lactating mothers and young child.
    Track related policies and progarmmes on nutrition across the project States.
    Facilitate the development of communication material and merchandise as part of the brand identity
    Manage the media and social media platform of the project in terms of content, form of products, mediums of dissemination.
    Support programme team in drawing insights from interventions and take the lead in developing products e.g documents, videos or other formats relevant to the stakeholder.
    Handle communication planning and implementation for events including media outreach and coverage, event collaterals etc.

    Qualification & Experience Essential
    Masters Degree in communication or development communication preferably with atleast 7 - 10 years of experience.
    Experience of working with donors or development partners in handling their communication approach and communication mediums ( media and social media platforms).
    Relevant experience in development communication would be an added advantage.
    Fluent in spoken and written English and Hindi.
    Contract Type and Period This will be a fixed term contract.
    The contract will be initially for a period of one year, extendable thereafter, based on performance, for a likely period of 2 years. IPE Global is a fast growing organisation with a large portfolio of programmes in India/South-East Asia and Africa and there could be opportunity for long term association for exceptionally good candidates on mutually agreed terms.
    Compensation Compensation package will be commensurate with qualification & experience and last salary drawn.
