    1. Responsible for effective & efficient legal issues pertaining to PFA, Food Safety and Food Laws.
    2. Handling litigation of the group encompassing Prevention of Food Adulteration Act & related Food Laws.

    3. Provide necessary legal support to all units/Business Heads in respective SBUs / projects with appropriate legal opinions to ensure regulatory compliances of the time with respect to FSSAI Acts its rules & regulations.

    4. To give opinion to the Management regarding any matter which has some legal issue and to update the Marketing and Quality team about any change/update/notification regarding FSSAI, Legal Metrology Rules & Regulations, ASCI Code and other relevant laws.


    5. To look after the litigation related to the Company in respect of FSSA/PFA, Recovery Suits, Criminal Complaints, Negotiable Instruments Act, Consumer Protection Act, Legal Metrology Act etc.

    6. To draft Plaints, Complaints, Written Submission/Reply, Written Arguments etc. (mostly pertaining to FSSA & N.I. Act) on behalf of the Company.

    7. To brief and provide support to the external counsels engaged by the Company about the various matters of the Company pending in Courts/Tribunals and represent the Company as Authorized Representative in various Courts & Tribunals of the Country.

    8. To acquire Food Licenses and to liaison with Food Safety department, Legal Metrology department and other Govt. Department/Authorities.

    9. Statutory and regulatory compliance under FSSAI and Legal Metrology with its rules and regulations. Been handling all discussion on claims and challenges in various Regulatory/Tribunal forums like ASCI, FSSAI or any Court of law.

    10. To insure compliance of Food Laws such as Food Safety & Standards Act, 2006 and Rules & Regulations, Legal Metrology Act, 2009 and Rules & Regulations.

    11. Formulate compliance check-lists to be used for the purpose of ensuring that all information required is provided accordingly. Continuously monitor compliance with statutory obligations and advise management accordingly.


    12. To check mandates given upon the labels/packaging materials/advertising materials of the Products of the Company.


    13. To keep a close watch on day to day basis in Food laws w.r.t. Government, Judiciary, & market and update to the concerned HOD and Unit Head for the same.

    14. To send notices & prepare replies to the received notices from Govt. Authorities or private entity/firms.


    15. To maintain legal MIS.
