Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities
  1. Drive business requirements gathering and gap analysis via conducting workshops, assessment of operational processes and analyzing how these can be implemented within SAP
  2. Deliver functional design documentation, test plan, coordinate UAT with SMEs
  3. Present proposed solutions to the design committee for approval
  4. Responsible for successful delivery of SAP module configuration
  5. Influence stakeholders and drive the usage of SAP standard solutions instead of custom development
  6. Able to design and implement interfaces to external systems
  7. Work with SAP developers implementing custom code solutions when necessary
  8. Typical projects include SAP implementations, upgrades, enhancement or extension of existing SAP application
  9. Work in cross-functional and cross-application teams to achieve optimal design matching business requirements
  10. Assume the role of functional lead for implementations of complex and enterprise projects
  11. Ability to handle high complexity change requests related to strategic initiatives and the rollout of enhanced capabilities to the sites independently
  12. Effectively drive and coordinate the rollout of complex functionality to all sites
  13. Ability to effectively communicate functionality to all relevant groups via remote meetings and by chairing symposiums session with all levels of audiences
  14. Ability to write highly detailed functional specifications for outputs down to the table structure level, solid understanding of relationship / design on the overall solution and possible new customizing to determine quality specifications to include screens, sub modules and extended functionality to current modules
  15. Ability to provide flow diagrams, entity relationships, mapping and table definitions for advanced design concept
  16. Actively participate in the exchanging of ideas and information within the department
  17. Proactively organize verbal and written ideas clearly and use an appropriate business style
  18. Be effective and consistent in providing regular updates to appropriate managers
  19. Ask questions; encourage input from team members
  20. Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems)
  21. Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management
  22. Assure that fundamental procedures and work instructions are efficient and not redundant
  23. Offer new ideas and suggestions for improvement. Identify and implement new practices and processes that are best in field
  24. Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively; making customer issues a priority
  25. Confer with reporting manager on complex or unusual situations
  26. Establish new measurement systems if/where possible
  27. Define, research, develop and test new functionality of business systems in your primary module or functional area.
  28. Participate in rollout/installation of new business systems.
  29. Serve as escalation point for system and troubleshooting issues.
  30. Devise sample data to test accuracy of programs.
  31. Provide functional advice and assistance to programmers.
  32. Write specifications of user needs for application development, enhancements and testing.
  33. Maintain a working knowledge of advancing technologies. Identify applicable solutions and implement with existing networks when appropriate.
  34. Work seamlessly with all IT Teams to ensure high standard of IT support at all levels.
  35. Maintain and develop documentation for responsible area. Prepare and provide status updates of assigned project plans and schedules.
  36. Maintain positive relations with all employees encouraging them to suggest ways of improving IT systems. Recommend/conduct training.

Required Functional and Professional Expertise

  1. Desired candidate should have of 6 to 8 years as SAP SD consultant of experience in a full cycle implementation as well as in support projects.
  2. Specific SAP Technical Skills: SD: (customer master, billing, sales orders, order fulfilment, deliveries, shipments, pricing, credit management)
  3. Experience with EDI interfaces
  4. Experience in data migration (LSMW)
  5. Good exposure in repetitive manufacturing, discrete and process industries
  6. Good understanding of integration points of SD with FI/MM/PP
  7. Must have hands-on SAP implementation experience in multiple projects with full cycle implementations in SAP financial and controlling processes
  8. Experience with at least 2 full cycle SAP implementations
  9. Understanding of cross-modular impact of processes and configuration
  10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  11. Able to understand and embrace business and IT strategic direction
  12. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities
  13. Experience with working in a multicultural environment
  14. Good understanding of SDLC and SAP implementation Activate methodology
  15. Willingness to keep up with the progress of SAP technology
  16. Must have advanced configuration knowledge and skills minimum of multiple modules and applications.
  17. Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes, systems and applications across enterprise planning, supply chain and shop floor functions.
  18. Leadership quality with ability to mentor and manage other team members in project.
  19. Advanced understanding of business processes through hands on business experience or through an operations role.
  20. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  21. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
