Job Description


Leadership and Partner Development
Provide solution architecture thought leadership to GSI & MC partners and promote the GSI value proposition within PTC
Strong focus on understanding the partners business needs, their current strategy, their challenges, their technical issues and risks, the economic impacts of these issues and risks, and their environment from a technology and process perspective
Educate, evangelize and present existing PTC solutions, products, services and tools to raise awareness of PTC capabilities with our GSI & MC partners. Provide detailed solution architecture overviews and determine the partners design, integration and development plans
Conduct training and facilitate workshops for GSI & MC solution architects and business unit leaders
Help build the Center of Excellence Lab with the GSI & MC partner based on PTC technology and ensure that the use cases for the technologies provided are developed and executed
Mentor partners staff members in the use of PTC technologies and best practices
Open new relationships with GSI & MC organizations where PTC does not currently interact (e. g. Vertical BUs, Horizontal Practices) to drive innovation with our solution portfolio
Stay current on emerging technologies, development roadmap and other industry issues that impact PTC solution positioning and understand their impact to our GSIs & MCs
Understand competitor's strengths and weaknesses relative to the recommended solution architectures
Serve as the primary technical advocate back to PTC on behalf of the partner
Build relationships with GSI/MC and PTC Account Teams to support and develop new opportunities, acting as a bridge between the two organizations to ensure quality outcomes
The GTAM is a partner to the GSI/MC during the sales process and participates in the creation of sales strategy and tactics and takes ownership of technical responsibilities during client opportunities
Responsible for driving presales activity, including interaction with the GSI/MC for solution architecture, value proposition definition, proposal creation, proposal presentation to the GSI/MC and/or end customer, PoC support, implementation service delivery oversight, etc.
Participate in implementation planning meetings as appropriate with the GSI/MC organization to allow for the smooth transition from presales to post sales and ensuring a smooth customer implementation that meets their expectations established during presales activities
Work with account teams in the development and production of responses to RFIs and RFPs
Solution Development
Assist GSI/MC partners in identification of PTC solutions and products that can support development of joint partner solution offerings
Work with the account teams to build business cases that assist in justifying an investment in joint PTC and GSI/MC solutions
Lead solution development activities by bringing together and managing the right virtual technical, marketing, sales and services team to drive a complete repeatable solution Go-To-Market program. Provide direction through hands on work on solution design, solution documentation, marketing collateral development, services alignment and sales enablement. Support projects to demonstrate the capability of PTC technologies to enable solution offerings that can be realized using PTC technology and 3rd party products, such as proof of concepts, testing and validation

Key Skills, Competencies, Knowledge & Experience Required

A senior-level business and technology expert with a consultative approach
Experience working for or with large Global Systems Integrators in a technical role
A proven knowledge of the PLM, ALM, SLM, IoT and AR market, technologies and solutions
Vertical experience in Manufacturing, A&D, Industrial Products, Automotive, High Tech, Medical Device and Energy a plus
A working knowledge and background in programming/application development a plus
Organizational awareness: establish power-base mapping to sensibly act and plan in accordance
Experience in leading and influencing cross-functional teams with value-led propositions
Able to establish and demonstrate technical credibility with customers and partners
A well-documented, solid and successful solution architect career having generated results from direct, partner and solution sales effort
International business acumen to manage cultural differences between organizations
Customer/Partner-focused: We see our customers' business through their eyes in order to provide solutions that uniquely satisfy each customer's needs
Organized and adaptable clear thinker with a tolerance for ambiguity
Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and demonstrated analytical skills
