The Digital Finance, Data and Tools Lead (DFDT) key objective is to partner with NTO Finance Community at different levels, enabling high quality financial management information aligned with the NTO Financial Data strategy with other divisions and Group Finance. In this role, the individual needs to play an important part in delivering the strategic initiatives related to fast access to data, automation, robotics and including artificial intelligence within planning processes, as well as the improvement of the NTO finance tools and systems to enhance reporting & standard process capabilities.
Leadership - Builds strong business relationship with Global / Tech Platforms / Sites, by respecting business needs and ensuring strong service delivery to their requirements.
Engage with senior stakeholders in NTO finance to drive conversations in agreeing to deliver a shared agenda of improvements/enhancements within the Processes.
Engage with cross-divisional stakeholders in data strategy, aligning NTO priorities cross-divisionally. Financial Data
Implement the Financial Data Strategy in line with company strategy of One ERP, Artificial Intelligence and Automation
Maximize IFP tool, which includes reporting of Actuals and planning, making sure data integrity, accuracy and full alignment with other tools ( FCRS, SPMR, NPMR, One Planning)
Maintains systems landscape up to date and proactively adapt processes and systems to future business needs
Implement the design, preparation, production and distribution of all automated reports (monthly and periodic) for the NTO organization, to allow management to take decisions on time.
Support the NTO Finance team in ad-hoc requests, and create the right governance to take decisions.
Collaborate with Global Process Managers and leaders to design and implement standardized processes and to track implementation effectiveness and gaps on a continued basis Systems
Expertise in Tools & Systems for NTO Finance including SAP, FCRS, NPMR/SPMR, IFP (BPC),
Lead new tools like APPs for reporting and Qliksense among others
Identify system opportunities to leverage automation, robotics, artificial intelligence in order to deliver efficiencies
Escalate and highlight operational challenges to meet set timelines with quality. Governance & Best Practices
Active participation in cross-functional committees to take frequent decisions related to Data strategy and its implementation in a sustainable way, to address short and long-term needs.
Support the financial evaluation in order to understand business cases. Compliance
Create and execute the proper controls to ensure fully compliance with Novartis standards.


Minimum requirements

CA/MBA/University degree in Economics/Engineering
12 plus years of experience in Finance roles, with exposure to financial systems, accounting and manufacturing controlling.
Good understanding of processes and systems. Experience in multinational companies and/or Pharma Industry highly valued.
