BC Examinations and English Services Pvt Ltd (BCEESIPL) is an Indian commercial entity wholly owned by the British Council, UK. Governed by a Managing Director and Board, BCEESIPL provides a range of services to BC UK in the areas of Examinations and English. In 2018/19 BCEESIPL will deliver 700,000 examinations in English Language assessment and professional qualifications in 45 cities and 70 venues across India as well as providing B2C Digital Learning courses, corporate ELT training services and two major employability skills and assessment projects with State Governments in Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. BCEESIPL employs 350 staff in 4 offices in Gurgaon, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata.

Title: HR Business Partner

Responsibilities:

  • To deploy in-depth, applied understanding of complex procedures within HR functional support discipline to deliver high quality and efficient service to staff in general and management in particular. 
  • To support development and monitoring of HR systems, policies and procedures in India, in compliance with global HR policies 
  • Co-ordinate the annual people cycle, for performance management, talent management, succession planning, learning and development etc., engaging and communicating key stakeholders to deliver in line with timelines, policies and processes. 
  • Provide HR operations and ER support/advice on all people matters, ensuring high quality service is delivered to maximise performance and minimise risks and costs. 
  • Liaise with Country HRBP to resolve complex and/or sensitive employee relations case work issues. 
  • Consults closely with internal customers and other stakeholder to understand current and future business needs, and plans work activities accordingly to ensure the services and advice they provide meets those demands 
  • Applies advanced HR generalist knowledge to solve a range of complex business issues. 
  • Provides HR advice, support and challenge to internal customers and other stakeholders to support the development of high quality, effective and continuously improving business ractices within their area of expertise, ensuring high quality service is delivered to maximise performance and minimise risks and costs 
  • Responds knowledgeably and professionally to enquiries within their discipline, to ensure internal customers receive high quality, prompt and timely service and/or advice. Refers on to others only complex enquiries, or those outside own area of expertise 
  • Identifies and makes recommendations to Head of Human Resources for improvements to ways of working that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the corporate functional discipline, as well as the operational effectiveness of their internal customers
  • Effective management of HR risk and compliance, ensuring that appropriate actions are in place to manage improvements to country/cluster audit findings. 
  • May be the go to person for first-line advice and guidance on a specific practical process, topic or system either within the corporate functional department, or embedded within a particular geographical unit or SBU team 
  • Plans and prioritizes own activities, which span across a range of different work streams or internal client relationships. Responds to changing and at times competing requirements to ensure effective delivery of responsibilities over a monthly/quarterly time horizon 

Salary: INR 3,75,000 - 8,00,000 P.A.
