EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Within MCD, Project Lead is a very critical and significant role and is part of Customer Facing Unit (CFU). Project lead carries following responsibilities in MCD to provide great cloud experience to MCD customers.
Primarily responsible for managing the planned activities during customer lifecycle in HEC.
Project management specialist with excellent communication and coordination skills and acts as a customer ambassador for various technical teams. This includes interfacing with customers
Responsible for handover from SAP sales to SAP Managed cloud delivery.
Quality gate for completeness of customer requirements and ensuring they are aligned with defined HEC standards.
Coordinate with Managed cloud delivery, customer project team (customer and system integrators) and extended SAP teams to align project information, requirements and rollout timelines
Escalation Management during planned project activities
Deliver project planning and resource coordination for planned project activities
Conduct regular project meetings with Engagement Lead, Technical lead and delivery units.
Coordinate cutover and go-live activities with the required team during greenfield and brownfield migrations.
Planning and coordination of major customer lifecycle management activities such as upgrades and migrations.
Organize/participate regular meetings with customer/consulting/migration teams
Responsible for regular project status reporting
Volunteer/participate in continuous improvement projects or task forces in MCD organization on specialized technical topics.
Maintain high level of standards and quality of project consulting and customer interaction
If required, to work on weekends, off-hours, and be on-call rotation; flexibility is a must
Participate and contribute towards organizations goals and objectives, collaborating with multiple teams and solutions.
Mentor and guide junior members of the team
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelors degree or higher in one of the following areas:
Computer Science, Engineering, Information management.
Strong customer service focus.
Certified in Project management [PMP]
Demonstrate IT Project Management Competences
Strong business acumen plus technology/solution background
Process affinity and strong process orientations
Experience in working with cross-cultural teams or individuals
Actively manage project escalations
Solid know-how on SAP Technologies and Products (SAP certification highly beneficial).
Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate and escalate Issues.
Able to articulate technical details to non-technical audience such as customer with great clear and concise confidence.
Good knowledge of network and virtual technologies (load-balancer, virtual machine).
Ability to Own, Lead and coordinate operational tasks, customer escalations, process, improvements.
Ability to work under pressure and constantly add value to customer and within organization.
Capacity to continuously acquire new knowledge in an independent, proactive way
Good analytical and solution oriented thinking
Having ITIL knowledge and/or certification is plus.
8+ years of Project management experience (Preferably in SAP installation, upgrade and migration projects)
Minimum 2 years of experience in customer facing role and should have excellent skills on de-escalating the critical situations.
Working knowledge on Basis skill is preferred
