    Security Technology Services (STS) is a critical function within Standard Chartered Bank operating under the overall purview of Technology Services .

    The STS team is made up of cyber security thought leaders, who are accountable for the provision of a global set of cyber security services and products in order to maintain and continuously improve Bank s cyber security posture in today s ever evolving cyber security landscape.

    The STS team protect the Bank from cyber security threats by delivering effective information security technology services, managing and responding to security incidents to ensure, and support the continuity and growth of Bank s business operations; and meet the both internal and external stakeholders expectations across 70+ countries and territories, in which SCB operates.

    As part of the Security Transformation activities within SCB, a new role within Cyber Defence Centre CDC) is being created. This requires a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Professional in the area of information and cyber security.


    24x7 Cyber threat response(Tier-1) operations: Perform initial triage, analysis and response - notable events & security alerts (including reported incidents via email,

    phone or group chat)

    Review of security alerts where immediate triage, analysis and response activities are required.

    Develop, maintain and continuosly improve the Security event monitoring & Cyber security incident response processes.

    Cyber threat responses; action as per playbook and apply intuition wherever relevant.

    Security incident identification, timely containment, investigation and remediation.

    Prioritize security incidents taking relevant factors such as impact , recoverability effort etc into consideration.

    Ensure compliance to SLA, process adherence and process improvisation to achieve operational objectives.

    Coordinate the response measures for cyber security incidents with the relevant stakeholders to foster collaborative working environment.

    - Provide after hours rotational coverage.

    - Train and mentor junior analysts.


    Security Technology Services Service Managers (Heads), Service Operations Managers

    Office of the CISO, Group Operational Risk & other Risk and Compliance Teams


    6 years or more experience in Information and Cyber Security technology, preferably from Banking industry

    Comprehensive knowledge of cyber security monitoring and response programs in complex organizations

    Good understanding of the current cyber threat landscape, latest threats and vulnerabilities.

    Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

    Strong team management and mentorship skills.

    Strong sense of personal ownership and responsibility in accomplishing the organisation s goal. Exudes confidence and will roll-up his/ her sleeves to drive success

    Able to get things done in a quick-paced environment. Be transparent and open around what doesn t work and what does.

    Excellent communication skills oral, written and presentation; technical reporting writing across various types of target audiences.

    Good working knowledge of software application: Outlook (advance), Word (advance), Powerpoint (advance), Excel (advance)

    Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Computer Science/ Information Technology or its equivalent

    Reports Directly to : Senior Manager, Cyber Threat Response(Tier-1)
