Duties will include:
Listen to team members' feedback and engage in regular, effective communications with the Information Science Lead regarding the team and any issues that could affect the work or the team's dynamic.
Intervene when necessary to aid the group in resolving issues.
Oversee day-to-day teams' operation and performance, finding areas of improvement and suggesting how to improve these and helping in the implementation of any solutions.
Assist management with hiring processes and new team member training.
Maintain a general positive attitude and healthy group dynamics.
Support the Information Science Lead in the implementation of new tools and processes.
Inspire, organise and manage the local Information Science team in a manner that ensures delivery and contributes to employee skills growth.

Analyse the genre and feature information of entertainment industry catalogues from various countries to establish the right strategy to deliver the best recommendations for projects.
Execute the correct strategy to deliver the best recommendations for the different projects (adding synonyms, adding titles, changing weights, configuring default profiles, etc.).
Ensure that the customer genres are taking the maximum advantage of the ThinkAnalytics thesauri.
Analyse customer's metadata to identify any issues that have an impact on the quality of the recommendations and providing this information to the PMs.
Creation of new, and improvement of existing, ThinkAnalytics thesauri.
General maintenance and documentation of any issues found in the ThinkAnalytics thesauri.
Work with software engineers to improve the metadata tooling or those areas of the different ThinkAnalytics products that are closely related to the metadata tasks carried out by the IS team.
Ensure that the quality of the recommendations is up to standard.
Communicate any issues or possible delays in projects or work to the Lead Information Scientist.
Liaise with the PMs and engineers responsible for the projects they collaborate with in order to be able to understand the work that needs to be carried out and be able to report any issues or support them in any needed way.

At least 3 years of experience in management.
PGDip/MSc (or equivalent) in information science, information management or experience in one or more of the following information management areas:
cataloguing/information retrieval and tagging;
development of taxonomies, thesauri or classification systems.
Excellent research and data analysis skills. The candidate should have carried out some type of data analysis work before.
Strong attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to use different tools and technologies creatively and effectively.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written in English).
Proficient in the use of MS Office (especially Excel) and general computer skills
