The Architect will:
Lead the large-scale Transformation programs both from the IT architecture and solution design execution activities.
Act as design authority and provide a single point of technical solution ownership for all the transformation projects in scope.
Work closely with the HCL Transformation Directors, Solution Architects, Technical Architects, project managers from HCL and client side. Along with the HCL application development team, HCL infrastructure support, suppliers and other/HCL domains as required.
Establish relationships with the client architect community and other client senior stakeholders within the client organisation and become a trusted advisor on architectural matters.
The Lead Architect will have a line reporting to Head of IT Architecture and functional reporting to the respective client engagement stakeholders.
Lead the HCL Design Team in developing and implementing the solutions required to meet HCL contracted services.
Implement and run internal architectural governance to ensure the solution integrity of the HCL services during the transformation programs.
Define Solution blueprints, lead the development of high-level design (HLD) and low-level design (LLD) documents by working jointly with Technical architects and Subject matter experts.
Review and approve Solution Architecture \ Solution Design for complete infrastructure solutions that meet customer and application requirements (including HLD & LLD).
o The solution will be based on next-generation IT solutions spanning one or more of the following areas: Digital Workplace, Software Defined Datacentre, Converged Networks, CyberSecurity, Unified Communications, Future Mode Operations including Tooling and Infrastructure Services.
Ensure that infrastructure solutions make the most efficient use of resources, technical and people, to provide the best value to both the client and HCL.
Provide comprehensive technical and procedural advice and guidance to team members, other HCL domains and customers as required.
Attendance at the design and other client forums representing HCL.
Help foster an environment that welcomes new ideas and supports the development of these ideas into fully fledged solution design.
Adhere to client technology governance and project framework.
Be seen as an agent of change within the transformation program organisation. Engage with support teams to create energy for change.
Help achieve best practice for client infrastructure to ensure infrastructure, support deliverables and components are consistent with agreed designs and address applicable risk and security considerations.
Provide business context and contract requirement support to colleagues. Provide training and coaching of individuals, where necessary in developing solutions and services.

Must gain knowledge of the Client Sector and any regulatory processes affecting preferred Must show a willingness to learn if not motivation and ability to gain an understanding of client business units, systems and all HCL processes Experience in leading design and implementation of significant infrastructure transformation projects involving multiple technical disciplines across various geographies

The Infrastructure Lead Architect will be responsible for the following deliverables in addition to the Transformation execution activity Transformation Phase
1. Develop architecture blueprint describing the High-level overview of the solution architecture and services being delivered by HCL to the client through Transformation scope
2. Plan, organise and lead the architecture and design workshops between client and internal architect community to achieve the desired project outcomes
3. High-level design document and implementation roadmap
4. Migration and implementation approach for the contracted transformation scope
5. Identify technical risks and develop mitigation plans
6. Create and maintain the Architecture Decision log and Artefact approvals, as it relates to the HCL solutions and services
7. Review and approve Low-level design documents
8. Represent various HCL design teams and facilitate the necessary artefact approvals from customers Architecture Review Board
