We are looking for Instructional Designer for Training Team.
The Training team is a nimble and highly efficient group within Zuora responsible for delivering product training to our customers , partners and employees. We re collaborative (but still expect each other to own our respective projects) ; passionate about learning (but realize we must balance time - to - market with perfection) ; open to giving and receiving honest feedback (but are always kind) so that , in the end , we deliver the highest quality product.
In late 2016 , we launched paid subscription access to Zuora University and now we re looking for an Instructional Designer with a programming / coding background (who ideally has experience with data mapping and migration) to be based in Chennai office and join our growing team in India.
The Instructional Designer for Zuora University develops training for Developers and Solution Architects , partnering with subject matter experts and visual designers to create courseware from the ground up .
Design , develop and deliver high - quality , engaging , innovative training
Conduct audience , needs , and task analysis
Partner with subject matter experts to gather course content , confirm content accuracy and beta test courses created
Outline course objectives and design course structure
Script e - learning courses and create ILT course materials (PPTs , facilitator guides)
Create assessments to check comprehension
Partner with visual designers to turn scripts into e - learning courses
Manage course development from inception to completion (i.e. , release to users)
Deliver training if / when needed
Update course content to reflect product releases and based on learner feedback
Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies and apply as relevant
5+ years in instructional design
3+ years experience in programming / coding (+ a keen interest in programming languages)
Demonstrated proficiency with instructional design tools (training plans , content scripts , design documents , storyboards)
Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS)
BA degree in instructional design or related field
Must be able to
Simplify complex concepts and processes for learners , making them clear & understandable
Mange projects , prioritize , multi - task , asses risk and develop mitigations
Build strong relationships and collaborate across functions and levels
Apply current industry research and trends , driving best practices within instructional design and delivery
Meet deadlines in a fast - paced , rapidly - changing environment
Take initiative , be self - directed and flexible; tolerate ambiguity and collaborate
