Amar Dairy

It all started sometime around 1990. Late Mr. Parmanand N Khatri owned a famous restaurant in Bodwad near Jalgaon. The restaurant had a good footfall, and a decent quantity of milk was also required in the restaurant on a daily basis.

However, one fine day - Mr. Parmanand realized that the quality of the milk was slowly deteriorating. Being a quality conscious personality, it was not his nature to compromise on the quality front. His restaurant business had earned a respectable reputation due to good quality food being served.

To tackle the issue of milk, he found a genuine solution. He approached the farmers directly to procure the milk. The farmers agreed to sell the milk directly to him. The quality issue was thus put to the rest. However, an another challenge arose in a couple of days. The milking process usually happens twice a day. The milk obtained from the morning session was put to day's use, but the milk obtained from night's milking process was extra. Now the question was how to put the evening milk to use?

Mr. Parmanand thought of starting a retail outlet where people could get quality milk from. This is how Amar Dairy was born. Initially, the dairy sold around 25-50 liters of milk every day. But since the milk was of fine quality, people started the demanding more milk. As the word of mouth spread across, the dairy started to witness more customers. To fulfill this growing demand, he got in touch with more farmers.
