QA / QC Assistant Manager

Reviewing and monitoring the effectiveness and operation of the management system, project quality control plan, including proposing and implementing improvements as agreed with the management team.
Ensuring compliance to Mace quality control plan by monitoring delivery of works through surveillance activities.
Reporting on compliance within management system / quality section of the project and attending review meetings where applicable.
Managing and maintaining quality trackers including samples and benchmark registers to report against project progress.
Collecting, collating and providing the KPI s regarding project performance against quality management objectives and targets.
Managing and monitoring the continual improvement process including being the central focus for lessons learned exercises, suggestions and feedback.
Chairing and / or attending quality meetings, ensuring completion of quality related minutes.
Ensuring all new starters receive management system or Mace way awareness induction training.
Ensuring all staff on the project receives appropriate ongoing training to ensure their competence including site briefings (as requested).
Liaising and managing external audits and supporting the business in close - out raised actions.
Maintaining a register to control all non - conformance and observation raised. Reporting overdue items as well as managing their conversion into preventive actions and report on this data.
Reviewing in conjunction with the package managers, subcontractor quality plans and ITP and providing specialist advice to the project team and supply chain as required.
Reporting on trend analysis and project status.
Driving the project close - out including O&M management and handover inspection process.
Providing support to the site team and attending third party audits carried out by client organisations.
Agreeing and maintaining the project audit programme, as carried out by the business unit quality manager.
Assisting in internal audits to the agreed programme, recording the results and feedback relevant findings.
Assisting in audits on supply chain where requested by the project team.
Previous working experience in a similar role.
Minimum 5+ years experience is required in the quality field or with engineering consultancies.
International project delivery experience is beneficial.
Good understanding of industry practices, processes and standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Indian languages.
Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
Good knowledge of IT.
A degree qualification in engineering or other related subject is essential for client approval.
Certification of quality control i.e. ISO 9000 or other related certification.
A member of relevant professional body.
