Knowledge & Experience:
9 -12 years hands-on experience of providing Quality Management (Process) support for embedded and / or server systems / solutions based development activities (covering full product lifecycle) in a global IT product organization
Should currently be working in a product based organization (at least last 3 years)
Thorough understanding of different software development lifecycles / methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile / Scrum)
Hand on experience of providing QM support for Project Gate reviews, Software releases, handling of Quality related issues , customer complaints etc.
Good knowledge of QM processes, methodologies,tools & techniques (RCA,8D,FMEA etc.)
Sound knowledge of Product Life Cycle (Product Lifecycle Management) and Project Management practices
Hand on experience in implementing and institutionalizing ISO 9001, CMMI Dev / Automotive SPICE practices in a product development environment
Excellent analytical, problem solving skills and knowledge of statistical techniques
Well versed with various tools (JIRA, Bit Bucket, Confluence, Sonar Cube etc.)
Familiar with DevOps and IT Service Management practices
Good experience of collaborating with geographically distributed global teams for process implementation, improvement and standardization
Demonstrated quality training delivery experience.
Technology / Domain:
Quality Management (Process Quality) in embedded and / or server software development domains in reputed IT product based organisations
Desired Candidate Profile
Roles & Responsibilities:
Guide project teams in planning, conducting various QA activities like Project Gate reviews, Software releases, handling various quality related issues etc.
Prepare and execute QA plans for the responsible projects
Help projects in tailoring of standard G+D processes
Conduct Project Gate reviews (SQA activities) and provide QM support for product releases
Work closely with project teams to ensure Product Quality and adherence to G+D Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes
Implement quality gates for any/all deliverables that go to customer
Guide Project Manager and team members on delivery (PLM) processes and practices
Timely escalation of issues relating to Quality of projects to Senior Management
Ensure lessons learned & best practices are understood and implemented effectively
Design and develop Software Engineering & Project Management processes for the organization
Actively participate in SEPG activities
Measure and monitor quality & productivity metrics and contribute towards continuous improvement of the same
Analyze data from projects and give recommendations for Process Improvements
Work with global counterparts and stakeholders in establishing benchmarks for quality and productivity metrics
Monitor customer feedbacks on the work products quality, time and efficiency
Participate in process definition, reviews and pursuit of certifications like ISO, CMMI /SPICE
Conduct internal audits and assessment for identifying strengths & weaknesses and track actions to resolve non-compliances until their closure
Guide project teams in conducting RCAs/ 8D analysis, identifying corrective & preventive actions
Conduct Quality related Trainings
Provide QM support for evaluation of the new SW and HW tools requirements and standardization
Collaborate with geographically distributed global teams for process improvement and standardization
Interact with global quality teams to review lessons learned and process effectiveness
Work with external software suppliers vendors and review their work package / deliverables
Continually improve process adherence, training and required artifacts to deliver quality products
