    The school Principal serves as the educational leader, responsible for managing the policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure that all students are supervised in a safe learning environment that meets the approved curricula and the mission of the school.
    Achieving academic excellence requires that the school Principal works collaboratively to direct and nurture all members of the school staff hired and to communicate effectively with parents. Inherent in the position are the responsibilities for scheduling, curriculum development, personnel management, emergency procedures, and facility operations.

    The school Principal shall:
    1. Manage, evaluate and supervise the standard operating procedures as finalized by school management, for the operation and functioning of the school consistent with the philosophy, mission, values and goals of the school. He/She will also suggest as and when necessary the needed modifications, additions and deletion in the SOPs.
    2. Inspire and enthuse the staff for achieving the highest standards of performance in their respective roles in the direction of the stipulated vision and policies of the management. Set performance benchmarks for them and facilitate the achievement through regular training, counseling, motivation guidance and role modeling.
    3. Plan the years academic work and school development in advance in consultation with his/her colleagues and hold staff meeting at least once a month, review the work done during the month and assess the progress of the pupils.
    4. Supervise class room teaching and secure co-operation and coordination amongst teachers of the same subject areas as well as inter subject coordination.
    5. Handle official correspondence relating to the school and furnish, within the specified dates, the returns and information required by the Central or State Government/Board and ensure compliance with all laws, board policies and civil regulations.
    6. Supervise the instructional programs of the school, evaluating lesson plans and observing classes (teaching, as duties allow) on a regular basis to encourage the use of a variety of instructional strategies and materials consistent with research on learning and child growth and development.
    7. Nurture both students and teachers to achieve their greatest potential academically, instructionally and spiritually. Carrying out the necessary research, training and motivation to ensure that the school as an organization, all staff members as individuals and the students get the highest possible awards, recognitions, certifications and accreditations.
    8. Ensuring the character development of students in line with Moral Principles and ensuring that holistic all round development of students is taken care of. To formulate and implement the necessary strategies to achieve this end.
    9. Understand the roles of other staff, particularly the Vice Principal(s), Counselor(s), Academic Coordinator(s), and Committees as stipulated by the management and ensure that they get free hand in their independent roles under proper guidance and monitoring of the Principal and in all their consultative roles they are consulted and their advises are sought and respected. Nurture team spirit in the staff and ensure that they work as a cohesive team with full dedication, mutual love and respect, understanding and sacrifice.
    10. Become the chief spokesman of the school and promote the school in all forums using all means of communication and try to make the school the most attractive brand.
    1. Arrange for special remedial teaching of the children belonging to the weaker sections of the community and also of other children who need such remedial teaching.
    2. Plan and specify a regular time-table for the scrutiny of pupils written work and home assignment and ensure that the assessment and corrections are carried out timely and effectively.
    3. Establish the annual master schedule for instructional programs, ensuring sequential learning experiences for students consistent with the schools philosophy, mission statement and instructional goals.
    4. Establish procedures for evaluation and selection of instructional materials and equipment, approving all recommendations.
    5. Supervise in a fair and consistent manner effective discipline and attendance systems with high standards, consistent with the philosophy, values, and mission of the school.
    6. Ensure a safe, orderly environment that encourages students to take responsibility for behavior and creates high morale among staff and students. File all required reports regarding violence, vandalism, attendance and discipline matters.
    7. Establish a professional rapport with students and with staff that has their respect.
    8. Establish good rapport with parents, know their complaints and suggestions, address them in highly satisfying manner and keep them informed about the developments in school and development in their respective wards.
    9. Research and collect data regarding the needs of students, and other pertinent information including counseling/special instruction report of students.
    10. Organize and supervise procedures for identifying and addressing special needs of students including health-related concerns, and physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
    11. Supervise the exclusion from school of any pupil who shows departure from normal health, who has been exposed to a communicable disease, or whose presence may be detrimental to the health and cleanliness of other pupils, based on the report of Counselor or Class teacher. Assure that excluded pupils parents or guardian is apprised of the reasons for exclusion.
    12. Understand the training needs of the staff members and arrange for the training with due consultation with Management. Keep in touch with all the members of the staff and keep on guiding and motivating them to ensure the most efficient performance.
    13. Notify immediately the Board through correspondent, and appropriate personnel and agencies when there is evidence of substance abuse, child abuse, child neglect and severe medical or social conditions.
    14. Keep the Board advised through correspondent of employees not meeting their contractual agreement.
    15. Keep the staff informed and seek ideas for the improvement of the school. Conduct meetings, as necessary, for the proper functioning of the school: weekly meetings for full-time staff; monthly staff meetings.
    16. Communicate with the Board through correspondent regularly about the needs, successes and general operation of the school.
    17. Establish procedures for safe storing and integrity of all public and confidential school records. Ensure that student records are complete and current.
    18. Protect confidentiality of records and information gained as part of exercising professional duties and use discretion in sharing such information within legal confines.
    19. Attend required committee meetings.
    20. Perform any duties that are within the scope of employment and certifications, as assigned by the Board.
    21. Coordinate the appraisal system and participate in the appointment of teachers.
