    1. Design and conduct experiments to identify and characterise novel biomolecules and compounds and novel targets with the potential to translate into innovative therapies.
    2. Be responsible for the development and execution of novel in vitro assays, and, where needed, their use in routine compound screening and profiling activities. The ability to troubleshoot issues with assay performance will be required.
    3. Be responsible for designing, developing and implementing cellular assays and models for the characterization of cellular phenotypes to support drug discovery and target validation efforts (i.e. compound mechanism of action, selectivity, context ID etc.).
    4. Independently define and execute best experimental strategies and lab operations to a) deliver interpretable data to test hypothesis, b) address scientific questions or technical problems and c) progress projects. Self-motivation and critical thinking are essential.
    5. Identify and implement new technologies and help to establish infrastructure (internal, external) to enable strategy implementation and execution.
    6. Work collaboratively with colleagues from Biology, Protein Sciences, Chemistry, and Bio-informatics and/or CROs to optimize compound selection and explore and validate the therapeutic potential of drug targets.

    7. Extensive experience in molecular biology techniques (isolation, processing and cultivation of primary cells/tumors, standard cloning procedures, nucleic acid extraction, RT-PCR, qPCR, Western Blot, ELISA-based methods, IHC, flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy etc.).

    8. Experience in maintain cell culture lab.

    9. Experience in Cell biology based assays for oncology, inflammation markers by using different techniques like absorbance, fluorescence, luminescence, Fluorescence polarization, TRF, TR-FRET and alpha screen.

    10. Experience in MS office and GraphPad prism.

    11. Good knowledge of English (spoken and written).

    12. Provide datasets to progress early stage projects into pre-clinical development.
    13. Have the flexibility and ability to work on several projects simultaneously and to meet tight deadlines, as well as a desire to work in a high paced and collaborative team environment.
