    Job Purpose / summary

    Medlines growing complexity requires a leading global financial reporting cadence. Global Close team (GC) was newly created to simply and automate the core closing processes and ensure the timely and accurate financial reporting. To enhance the global controllership, GC team will focus on centralization of US journal entries and overseeing the global close. Sr. Accountant will be the first member as well as the corner stone of GC team in Pune office.
    Sr. Accountant will partner with financial analysis team and other corporate accounting teams and drive efficiency in US month end close by automating P&L related journal entries via automation tools such as Alteryx. The candidate will also facilitate the management of US close process in Cadency and contribute to the global close coordination and year-end audit. Sr. Accountant will serve as the leader of GC team and take responsibility of team development, timely execution of daily operation and projects, and continuous improvement of GC function.

    Key responsibilities
    • Prepare, post and review monthly journal entries by US Journal Entries Policy
    • Simplify and automate journal entries by Alteryx or other data analytics tools
    • Administrate month end tasks in Cadency and assist global rollout of Cadency Close Module
    • Collaborate with other accounting teams and internal audit team in YE audit
    • Facilitate the adoption of new lease accounting standard
    • Ensure compliance of GAAP standards and integrity of financial statements
    • Participate in other ad hoc accounting projects
    Required
    Skills & experience

    • CA/CMA with 5-7 years of experience in corporate accounting
    • Strong analytical mindset that has been demonstrated through leading large-scale projects
    • Previous experience with process automation & simplification projects
    • SAP user, TABLEAU and/or Alteryx experience is a plus
    • Strong in MS Office (Excel and word advanced skillset)
    • Strong communication skills
    • Aspire to lead and self-starter
    • Familiar with US GAAP
