    Development and Future Operations is a part of Risk Hub India and provides support to Retail business for areas including Credit Risk and Regulatory requirements with key focus around Data Analytics, Data & Business Controls, Remediation, Reg guidelines (BASEL, BCBS239 etc..) and Risk Project management for ensuring accuracy in risk data attributes.

    The role-holder's responsibility includes to simplify & standardise operating models between Technology, Risk & Finance; govern and maintain current Retail Risk System related issues and periodically review Retail- Athena change governance process to ensure optimization for stakeholders. The individual will also establish data & controls processes with the team to ensure the complete, timely and accurate delivery of retail data. This role also has standard accountabilities for management & supervision within respective department.

    What The Business Does

    Risk Information Services supports the global team in a team extension model and is responsible for Risk Data, Controls and Reporting for all risk operations. They are responsible for supporting credit risk systems, supporting key credit risk processes and controls (such as deal clearance, excess management, annual reviews and watch list), providing risk data and information services, investigating and resolving risk data quality issues, producing credit & market risk portfolio MI, analysis and risk input into regulatory reporting.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Play a key role in establishing a Development and Future Operations aligning Risk/Finance requirements, processes and resources
    • Assist in defining and executing Credit Risk and Business Controls analysis as per the framework covering key risk KDEs, exposure & reference data
    • Performing daily process activities in line with the defined process flow and guidelines
    • Enable project synergies across governance, resources and delivery
    • Investigate, analyse& highlight issues with respect to risk systems data control results and reconciliation results to respective stakeholders in Risk & Finance and manage the project delivery E2E while working closely with business & Risk Technology to mitigate the issue
    • Provide line manager oversight for daily completed tasks and capturing the data in the daily matrix tracker
    • Identify areas of process improvement and actively participate in department-wide process improvement initiatives
    • Ensure we look at the underlying data quality issues and highlight them as appropriate
    • Analysis should be done to account for business justification
    • Ensure regular and pro active communication with stakeholders to keep them aware of the deliverables and deadlines
    • Participate and support RCA and remediation work as required
    • Comply with Our Code, all RBS policies, How we manage RBS, and if applicable How we manage our Business, and deliver against all relevant statutory, regulatory, supervisory and legal obligations
    • Proactive identification and effective management and/or escalation of conduct risk delivering key customer outcomes
    • Own and develop the risk and control mechanisms for the business to use to discharge its responsibilities, independently overseeing and challenging effective management of risks and controls within agreed risk appetites
    • Provide expert support, advice, management information and escalation to leaders and the business on risk management

    Required Candidate profile

    The Skills That You Need
    • Post Graduate/Graduate in Finance, Engineering or Science with at least 3+ years relevant experience
    • Excellent Retail Financial products knowledge and Retail System Data flows (Preferred)
    • Knowledge/experience in Credit Risk and Risk Methodologies
    • Good communication skills required, for liaising with internal & external stakeholders
    • Good understanding of the Global Markets and Banking operations
    • Ability to work hands-on with large data analysis skills with large complex structures and volumes
    • Accountable for metrics/KPIs trend process
    • Liaise with global stakeholders for issue analysis and resolution
    • Hands on tools knowledge related to SAS EG, SAS Visual Analytics, Business Objects, SQL, and Excel.
    • Worked on Tableau and Python (Preferred).
    • Good knowledge of system process flows/change drivers and associated connectivity with technology teams
    • Basic Knowledge of key functions performed by other support areas (Finance/Controllers, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Operational Risk)
    • Ensuring timely delivery of team tasks
