Collaborate with and advise Akamai cross-functional business teams, including business personnel from sales, finance, tax, compliance, information security, product management and IT teams, on legal and regulatory risk associated with commercial sales contract matters and projects.
Assure conformity and consistency in application of Akamai legal and business policies and practices.
Participate in efforts to enhance the legal departments overall performance.
Handle other tasks that arise from time to time and require the attention of an Akamai attorney.

Fully qualified lawyer admitted to Bar Council in India.
Minimum of 7 post-qualification years of legal support or similar experience in private practice or in-house.
Strong contract drafting and negotiations skills in English.
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
Experience in telco and technology sectors.
Excellent analytical, negotiation and contract drafting skills in a variety of technology and/or licensing agreements, including software, managed services and multi-tier channel reseller models.
Strong working knowledge of international commercial contract law, corporate law, competition law, software licensing, privacy and data protection and intellectual property rights.
Astute commercial awareness, robust time and project management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Solid experience in the Internet, IT or telecommunications field, ideally with a mix of law firm training and/or substantial in-house experience.
Experience on corporate, labor and employment law matters in India, a plus.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including a clear and concise drafting style.
Solid experience providing legal support to Sales personnel.
Ability to multi-task and provide follow-through on projects.
