    Typical Accountabilities

    Responsibilities include :

    Primary responsibility will be working on proactive-reactive Incident/ SR/ changes/SIP related to Network and Network security technologies (Switching/ Routing/ Firewall/ LB/ Cloud)
    Need to be SME for handling any P1/P2 incidents, critical changes.
    Documenting knowledge articles for critical incident/change
    Will be accountable for meeting the delivery targets set by management
    Responsible for ensuring that delivery is within and better than prescribed SLA levels and help establish processes for continuous service improvement.
    Resolve incidents/problems/Changes according to established procedures
    Work proactively to ensure prompt resolution of support cases & the highest possible levels of customer satisfaction along with minimal production impact
    Work on Service improvement activities and completing it within the target dates.
    Providing automation solution to benefit network operations team.
    Create policies and procedures related to Networking environment

    Required Candidate profile

    Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience


    A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required, MS or MBA preferred.
    6 to 8 years experience performing various tasks in Network Operations, Troubleshooting
    Atleast 6 years experience of working in Global NOC environment.

    Skills Primary

    Strong knowledge in Switching technologies - Cisco 6500/6900, Nexus 7K, 5K, 2K,VPC, FEX, VDC, Cisco VSS
    Strong knowledge in Routing technologies: Handling Cisco ISR/ASR routers, Protocols include RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, PW, VRF, L3 VPNs, IPsec, VPNs, CoS, Intelligent WAN
    Wireless: Cisco WLC, Cisco Prime

    Secondary/Good to have

    Security: Knowledge on Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Zone based Firewall, Firepower, Cisco ISE
    Load Balancer: Knowledge on Netscaler, F5 administration, Amazon ALB work experience
    Proxy: Knowledge on proxy PAC file changes, building/setting up private proxy nodes. Zscaler knowledge is preferable.
    Scripting: Basic understanding on one of the scripting language Phython, pearl, shell scripting. Any projects done on this scripting language will be an added advantage
    Knowledge or work experience in cisco ACI, Cisco Software Defined Access (SDA) environment are added advantage
    Knowledge and Experience working within a Service Oriented Architecture.
    Ability to document and maintain Network support documentation (e.g., processes procedures, workflows, communication/training material, service catalog, etc.)
    Ability to lead the development of new processes and procedures within Networking with stakeholders from across IT groups and business units.
    Strong relationship management experience
    Ready to work in 24/7/365 environment with rotational shifts(APAC, EMEA, US)
    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and excellent presentation skills. Well versed in English.


    Good knowledge of Release Management, Incident Management and Problem Management processes.
    Experience working in globally distributed team
    Experience in handling the critical incidents, providing solution amidst pressure situation.
    Knowledge in ticketing system like Remedy, SNOW
    CCNA(R/S or Security) certification required. CCNP/CCSA/CCSE and ITIL certifications are added advantage
    Base knowledge of Windows/Linux servers
    Experience on Integration of tools (API basics, scripts) will be added advantage.
    Able to grasp and understand new technological trends / concepts
    Good experience in using Microsoft Visio
    Must possess good problem solving and communication skills
    Must excel working in team environment
