Summary: Dell- EMC IMS is seeking a Senior Network & Security Engineer to be part of the team that is responsible for designing and managing their enterprise Datacenter environment. This job role demands extensive knowledge of LAN, WAN, Routing and Datacenter Technologies like NxOS, IPSEC VPN, HSRP, ACLs, Firewalls, IPS/IDS, BGP, Cisco hardware, and virtualized networking.

In this role, you should have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of Datacenter network administration and architecture. If youre also passionate about security and data protection, wed like to meet you.

Role / Responsibilities -

Configure, administer, and troubleshoot complex Datacenter network environments across multiple geographic locations.
Set up IPSEC VPN tunnels between the client and our datacenters as part of onboarding new customers.
Analyzing, troubleshooting and correcting network problems remotely and on-site.
Manage and oversee network and datacenter products, services, protocols, and standards
Implements, manages and troubleshoots existing network and system environments, and supports a variety of network equipment and other hardware.
Perform security operations support, with strong disciplines in network, application and database security, risk identification, enterprise wide encryption: VPN technologies such as PKI, IKE, IPSEC, SSL /HTTPS and digital certificate management.
Interfacing with all Applications / Business Units, troubleshoot Issues and provide resolution.
Ensure network security best practices are implemented on all aspects of the Datacenter including router, switch, firewall configurations, change control, and monitoring
Liaise between sales, product management, engineering and other departments on security related items
Investigating security breech alerts
Evaluation and Recommendations concerning network security systems.
Installing, testing network components as well as the functions associated with these tasks.
Scheduling preventive maintenance and optimizing network for performance.
Contacting vendors for remedial and emergency repairs when hardware malfunctions occur.
Maintaining maintenance records on networking hardware.
Oversee/perform new and existing Network equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
Developing operations, administrative and quality assurance back up plans as well as Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation.
Maintain a working and hands-on knowledge of products in the network industry.
Helps with periodic vulnerability and security risk assessment, Penetration testing of the network assets within the organization.
Support for various Audits (SOC2, ISO27001, PCI etc)
Researches emerging network technologies and makes recommendations based on future business needs
Review logs for efficiency, security and utilization of the network

Required Candidate profile

Skills Required:

Bachelors in Engineering/ Computer Science or related Field

6+ years of experience in Datacenter technologies including Nexus switches, VMWARE, TCP/IP, BGP, Network Security, Firewalls, IPS/IDS, ACLs, Routing, Switching etc.

Expert knowledge in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Nexus and Cisco IOS switches.

2+ years of experience in setting up and troubleshooting IPSEC VPN Tunnels.

Comfortable facing the client on call during onboarding or troubleshooting calls

One or more relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CISSP.

Experience in network protocol analyzers/sniffers such as Wireshark.

Experience creating detailed network documents using Microsoft Visio.

Ability to collaborate and Provide direct technical assistance and support to co- workers in various time zones

Excellent Oral and Communication skills

Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills

Experience in network security a big plus:

Device Hardening, IDS/IPS, SIEM, Firewalls (Checkpoint) and IPsec VPN, vulnerability assessment and intrusion detection
