The WIRTGEN GROUP is the world market leader in mobile Road Construction and Road Rehabilitation equipment, incorporating five strong brands: WIRTGEN, VÃ–GELE, HAMM, KLEEMANN and BENNINGHOVEN. As technological leader, we offer our customers mobile machine solutions for road construction and road rehabilitation, plants for mining and processing minerals or recycling material and for the production of asphalt.
In 2017 the WIRTGEN GROUP generated consolidated sales of 3 billion euros. Pres-ently the WIRTGEN GROUP employs 8,200 people.
The WIRTGEN GROUP started its India operations as a sales and service subsidiary in 1995 , and now has presence at 20 locations, across India. There are 14 Spare Depos for faster reach of spares to the Project sites.
The Company's factory at Pune ; which is also the Corporate office , is spread over an area of 129,100 sq. mtrs. and comprises of an Administrative office, a state of the art Workshop and a Centre for Training and Technology, which are built to the same standard as the WIRTGEN GROUP's facilities in Germany.
Wirtgen India commenced with its production facility in Pune since 2011. The first product to roll out from here is the Hamm 311 Soil compactor, followed by Hamm HD 99 Tandem Roller, in 2013. The HAMM compactors are now being exported to South East Asia and the Middle East, The production of Kleemann screens commenced in 2015 followed by Vogele pavers S 1403 and S 1400 in 2016. The "Made in India" KLEEMANN screen is a global product being exported worldwide. All these products are successfully launched and are well established in the India Market. The Pune production facility has an annual capacity of producing 2000 compactors, 250 pavers and around 500 screens.
In past 10 years, the revenues of Wirtgen India increased over 7 times and have crossed 1500 crore revenue mark in 2017. New technologies like Milling and Recy-cling have also been introduced successfully in India for better and cost effective building of roads.
