The role holder will be the Team Lead for the new stress testing hub being created in Bangalore and will be a key team member in the global Production Stress Testing team for Enterprise Stress Testing in Enterprise Risk Management. The role reports to the Head of Enterprise Stress Testing Delivery who is currently based in Singapore.
Enterprise stress testing comprises the stress tests required by the Group, regions, country and risk management teams, and other senior stakeholders as required to inform Risk Appetite and the stress tests required by the Banks regulators.
The team has responsibility for the execution of the Banks stress test exercises internally and to external regulators. It is also the centre of excellence for all strategic changes and operational controls, compliance attestation and policy setting for stress testing in the enterprise. As such, this individual will be working as part of a cohesive strategy and execution function. The team sets and runs the production schedule for stress testing.
Initially, the role holder will be working closely with the existing team to design and establish a stress testing hub in Bangalore. They will be responsible for all aspects of establishing and maturing the new team with the intent on rapidly increasing team size and scope.
The intent of the hub is to primarily run central workstream production tasks and sub-tasks during the running of each stress test exercise utilising ITO (Group IT) supported technology and produce management reporting on the same.
The role holder can expect themselves and their team to be:
Executing stress test exercises
Drafting briefing documents as needed for presentations to senior stakeholders.
Coordinating all production execution meetings in hub and spoke locations
Frequent production of management information output
Meticulously planning execution activities and producing planning metrics
Building out lessons learned and change improvements
The role holder must therefore have:
A logical approach to scheduling
Experience with senior (D and MD-level) expectations and issues in preparing production updates.
The ability to able to work closely with colleagues in global locations and be able to schedule workload for themselves and the team around the time differences this implies.
Excellent documentation skills
A very high degree of persistence, an ability to overcome difficult planning blockages and operational delays
This is a rapidly evolving space so the role holder must be able to make decisions, be comfortable with ambiguity and change, and be able to manage their team through change.
Initial focus will be to develop the design and maturity of the hub including supporting establishment of the engagement strategy across locations.
The role holder is responsible for the following in undertaking the role:
Use of standard production management tools and techniques to maintain transparency of schedule, key milestones, work allocation and accountability to all stakeholders.
Implement the new strategic approach to stress testing execution of a suite of enterprise stress tests, covering multiple global locations.
Build and maintain through constant communication, strong relationships with workstream leads in the enterprise stress testing process within and outside Enterprise Risk Management.
Plan and Execute stress test exercises for the Group, regions, country and risk management teams, and other senior stakeholders as required.
Deliver and own change requirements for the stress testing technology solution.
The role holder will need to establish all processes and effective controls for the new hub in accordance with the broader stress testing team
