    We are looking for an SM - Global Accounting for a client with a global presence based at Noida.

    JOB DETAILS

    Job Location : Noida

    Nature of Role : Team Management role

    Education : CA with strong experience US GAAP and IFRS

    Experience : 5+ yrs of accounting and reporting, experience of consolidation & IFRS/USGAAP

    Mandate : CA OR CPA

    CTC : Standard Industry Hike

    Work Conditions : 11 am -8 pm / 12- 9 PM, 5 days working

    Prime Responsibilities

    Global accounting and control

    Drive preparation and consolidation of financials for all entities across the organization; Review final financials prepared by team; Analyze the financials to flesh out insights; Discuss with team and seek clarifications, if required; Release flash report for presenting to superior; Participate in review meetings with the Chief Financial Officer and business finance partners to present financials and report variances, if any; Discuss and identify action items based on review; Track closure of actionables and escalate deviation in a timely manner; Direct team to prepare monthly management pack with financial data - balance sheets, P&L statements, etc. - in order to enable decision making of the senior management for Global group

    Audit and compliance management

    Monitor and drive financial reporting of group as per the local requirements by the team; Track compliance of financial reporting on various GAAP procedures and principles; Drive periodic audits of organization's accounts with the auditors; Discuss requirements with auditors and allocate team members to provide information; Monitor submission of reports to auditors; Participate in the audits; Review audit reports with auditors; Identify areas of improvement based on audit findings and follow up with remediation action; Discuss key issues and findings with the audit teams; Present the findings with the senior management and prepare an actionable plan to drive adherence / compliance to set financial standards and accounting principles for financial reporting across the group; Track the progress on the plans and report the same in order to ensure that the processes are in lines with set guidelines and norms

    Ownership

    Fix monthly timelines to close transactions; Draft new accounting policies; Provide technical opinions on correct accounting treatment, implication of taxation around how it should be entered into books of accounts in situations such as acquisition of new businesses, refinancing of accounts, etc; Manage interfaces such as Accounts Payable and Receivable, Patent Renewal systems, Trademark System interactions

    Special projects

    Provide direction and define high-level requirements for projects; Define and drive controls to prevent major issues through the projects; Track progress of projects and address issues raised by team; Identify opportunities for process re-alignment with other teams, and implementing key learnings across own team; Extend best practices (processes / systems / tools) amongst all entities in order to enhance operational capabilities of the organization.

    Operational excellence

    Drive the culture of continuous improvement across systems and processes in the team; Identify new levers to increase productivity in the team; Encourage team to come up with new ideas / ways to enhance efficiency; Guide team to find ways to automate processes and systems in order to eliminate human effort an probability of error; Gather market intelligence on best market practices and drive efforts in imbibing them in the team processes in order to drive efficiency in day to day working

    People Management

    Identify, prioritize and deploy action items for competency development in the team; Engage with employees; Direct and guide team on departmental issues; Identify, groom, reward and develop high performers and future leaders and hand hold them in their career through developmental feedback; Challenge and motivate the team for their growth, ownership and responsibility; Resolve escalated conflicts and grievances; Set clear and objective goals for team and drive them towards the achievement in order to engage, retain and develop a committed and cohesive workforce.

    Required Candidate profile

    Skills/ Experience Required

    Candidate must have :

    Minimum 12+ Years of rich experience in handling diverse accounting and finance function

    Must have worked in an outsourced environment and comfortable working with foreign counterparts and under different time zones

    Good knowledge of Oracle financials, Excellent MS office proficiencies

    Working knowledge & first hand practical experience of US GAAP

    Excellent communication skills

    Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage deliverables

    Good problem solving and interpersonal skills

    Strong quantitative analytical skills

    Must be open to flexible working hours

    Candidate must be open to travel and must have a valid passport.
