    Senior Level Semi- Technical Manager position responsible for planning, leading and managing functional aspects of various financial / banking systems spanning various business lines and for liaising with internal and external agencies to ensure successful delivery of business value to the client organizations. Works with internal / external customers to design new or custom features to software products/ services.

    Main Tasks & Responsibilities

    Leading and planning of design aspects of various products / services Reengineering of client business processes in line with best- in- class international practices Providing direction to and gathering high level business requirements for products / services Overseeing Data modelling, / preparation of requirement specifications / functional specifications, Overseeing the development of testing plans Manage processes related to Defect analysis and tracking Manage processes related to customer satisfaction and user support, Providing leadership for the implementation of client implementations Evaluation of suitable software systems, packages and vendors to support various functional requirements Education: Any relevant Engineering discipline. A professional qualification in Engineering (preferably Computer Science / Computer Technology) + Formal qualification in management, relevant IT and PM certifications

    Technical Skills

    Formal training on SSAD / OOAD Techniques, Formal training on RDBMS [Oracle/ Sybase/ SQL server] skills, Formal PM certification will be an added advantage 8- 10 years of experience in a cross- border banking / financial environment OR an organization involved in the development & delivery of financial / banking systems / services are pre- requisites for this role. Formal exposure to various standards and methodologies such ITIL / SSAD / OOAD and knowledge of technological trends in financial / banking technology would be added qualifications. 12 months or more of on- site, overseas experience Specialist Skills/ Competencies Required for the Role Should be well- conversant with the software development life cycle and should be able to lead a team to analyse, document and communicate the business requirement in the area of financial / banking systems in a systematic way.

    Comprehensive knowledge of banking products, accounting rules, regulatory requirements is expected. Good knowledge of internet banking, GL system and workflow procedures including Finance, Product Control, Accounts Payable, Nostro Reconciliation etc. is expected. Knowledge of SSAD / OOAD (Entity relationship diagram, data flow diagram, control- state diagram) is expected and related tools Should be capable of driving the alignment of current practices in line with best practices with a view to optimising risk, cost and service Knowledge of project estimation, risk analysis and formal project planning is essential Should be able to guide, groom, motivate and appraise people of different demographic profiles Strong communication skills across the bank, from most junior team member to Board level. Strong leadership qualities, preferably in a multi- cultural environment. Familiarity with Graphical User Interfaces developed using client- server technology Ability to use Unix / Windows platforms Familiarity with SQL statements and enterprise RDBMS Familiarity with both Object- oriented analysis and SSAD Familiarity with IT audit processes Soft Skills required for the Job Highly presentable with strong communication skills in English Strong problem- solving and analytical skills. Self- motivated, independent, detail oriented, and a responsible team- player The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Practical experience in using any project management software and tools. Additionally, experience in implementing middleware would be an advantage. Thorough knowledge of all key elements of a typical IT department Strong communication skills Formal exposure to SDLC techniques
