This being a mid-leadership level position in the S/W development team. The incumbent will be responsible to manage ongoing projects, with a focus on meeting project commitments, communication with stakeholders and support Project Manager in ensuring high quality projects-meeting all required functionality, within allocated schedule and budget are delivered by team.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Participate as a core team member in all phases of S/W lifecycle, including the Requirement analysis, design of S/W systems and owns the delivery of assigned projects (without compromise on quality).
Ensure proper utilization and productivity from the assigned resources. Participate in planning and implementation of projects, along with PL/PM.
Acts as a bridge between PM and team members for project implementation.
Prepares complete and detailed high level design document for proposed solution.
Prepares the integration methodology and design for sub-systems to be packaged together.
Participate in detail level of review, coding, code walk through, unit testing and system testing of S/W modules.
Must ensure solution delivery as per the assigned goals.
Participate in generating of technical documentation of product/ package.
Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Provides timely updates to PM and other stakeholders w.r.t project progress.
Ensure project compliance with Newgen Quality Systems and Procedures.
Coach/ mentor the members in the project and provide necessary support to them.
Performance appraisal/ counselling of the group members.
Evaluate training needs (technical, managerial) and get the required training programs implemented.
The incumbent should be BE/B Tech/MCA/ Computer Science Graduates from a reputed institute, with 5-7 years of experience in Core Java, JSP, Servlets, EJB, Application Server (IBM WAS, Weblogic, JBOSS ) , Oracle/SQL.
He should be proficient in latest technologies with an in-depth Knowledge of any one or more business domain areas like Banking, Financial Institutions, Telecom, BPOs, Insurance, Manufacturing and Healthcare etc.
Experience on any Customer Relationship processes (Lead Management, Opportunity Management, Case Management, Service Request Management, Grievance Management, Campaign Management) is desirable
He should have worked in all the phases of SDLC and should have hands on experience with CMM and /or ISO and best practices in the industry.
Prior team leading experience is a must.
Is adept in stakeholder management and possess the ability to coordinate and prioritize customer requests with the assistance of other members to ensure customer delight.
Should be able to step up and deliver the role of Project Manager, if required, in a given project life cycle.
Possess good people management skills and is able to manage performance and disciplinary issues, handle employee complaints and grievances, conduct employee assessment with recommendation to Project Manager. Should be able to train, mentor, motivate and lead a successful team. Should be well versed with attrition related issues and case management.

Willingness to travel for Short term/Long term within India/Outside India/Client Site on short notice and work as per project requirements.
