Job Description

Position Purpose:

The Technical Operations Expert assumes responsibility for delivering monitoring services, systems, and applications within agreed service levels and ensures the appropriate levels of capacity to fulfill future needs. The role is responsible for implementation of operational improvements, which includes technology lifecycle management, architecture and innovation in close co-operation with ITTP A&E team. This role also negotiates Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) with the service providers of underpinning IT services and ensures that the relevant resources are engaged and coordinated. Support Svc Operations Manager in all occurring technical topics. Operate all IT services, systems and applications and to monitor events that occur in the enterprise IT environment. Ensure that Configuration Items (any component that needs to be managed in order to deliver an IT Service) are identified, accounted, reported, verified and audited. This role supports the development of a commitment based culture and an environment which fosters a high performance and innovative organization.

Major Accountabilities :

  •  Ensures effective management of the ITTP monitoring platform to support 24*7 operations

  •  In collaboration with ITTP Service Integration partners work with customers to implement End to End monitoring solutions

  •  Manages the on/offshore vendor resources

  •  Find opportunities to use new technologies and tools

  •  Ensures effective management of monitoring tools across its entire lifecycle, from evaluations to retirement

  •  Ensures adherence to quality standards as defined by the IT Organization

  •  Review all the changes proposed for the monitoring platform

  •  Ensures appropriate response to audit / IGM assessment findings and recommendations

  •  Work closely with different GIS service lines to reduce monitoring false positives and operational issues

  •  May represent regional / divisional / global IT at a single, smaller site, assuming end-to-end accountability for successful monitoring service delivery

  •  Deliver IT services, systems and applications to the business

  •  Ensure adherence to quality standards as defined by the IT Organization

  •  Ensure appropriate response to audit / ISRM assessment findings and recommendations

  •  Define an end-to-end provisioning process facilitating automation wherever possible

  •  Perform patch management and image management activities

  •  Ensure standard build/image

  •  Ensure accurate provisioning and metering of services

  •  Provide early feedback to development team on release issues

  •  Ensure that an up-to-date asset inventory for all technology assets is maintained and only authorized components are used

  •  Accountable to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Technical Operations service scope

  •  Coordinate all configuration management database changes which directly or indirectly impact production services

  •  Ensure addition, modification or removal of any IT asset in a standard and controlled manner

  •  Ensure that CIs are identified, accounted, reported, verified and audited

  •  Take accountability to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Service Operations scope
  •  Managing technical operations for various IT tools including ServiceNow, Jira, Clarity


  •  Alignment of monitoring services and operations with ITTP strategy
  •  Operational excellence: measurement through SLAs/ KPIs and customer satisfaction surveys.
  •  Achievement of agreed targets in terms of quality, time and cost.
  •  Stable network, infrastructure and application performance monitoring operations
  •  Consistent support and contribution to global IT design and engineering efforts
  •  Delivery of network, Infrastructure and application performance solutions to committed dates and timelines
  •  Contribution to assigned projects
  •  Build and maintain relationships with global and virtual teams and third parties on network development or support issues
  •  All events are monitored and recorded accurately and alerts are raised as expected
  •  Service provisioned accurately and in timely manner
  •  Strict controls in place for all configuration items and only authorized changes are made for all assets within enterprise IT environment
  •  Accuracy of asset inventory

Minimum requirements

Master degree (MS or MSc in sciences or MCA or equivalent). English Overall 10+ years of IT experience, 8+ years in performance testing and monitoring tools deployment and management

  •  Comprehensive knowledge in the area of IT Service Management.
