  • Job Description Summary

Lead User Communication activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. Includes activities linked to technical writing of User Manuals, Installation Manuals , Service Manuals related to products and components across NPIs, Install Base engineering and VCP programs in Diagnostic Cardiology business. Span of work spread across almost all phases of PRD - Concept dev and reviews , Design & development, Supplier interaction, Design and QA reviews, Verification / Testing / Qualification, Manufacturing Transfer ,Commercial release and later support to Install Base. Primary focus areas shall be Quality, Schedule and Cost.

Job Details

  • Job Profile : Roles and Responsibilities
  • Defining the content for User communication ( Technical publications - User Manual, QRG, Installation manual, Service / FE manual, Trouble shooting guides , Cyber security manual etc ) related to Diagnostic Cardiology products across NPIs , VCP and Installed Base engineering programs.
  • Partner with Program core team esp Lead Systems Designer / Systems Engineer , Product Manager , Program Manager and respective Subject matter expert in transforming the design specification into design outputs that are in line with GEHC guidelines applicable for User communications.
  • Align with Global User Communications Architect in deploying the best in class tools and processes in design , development, review and testing ( verification ) and release of User communication / Technical writing activities
  • Own localization / translation processes and partner with GE approved suppliers in defining scope of work, commercials, schedule, define acceptance criteria, Qualification through In country reviews by language experts and the final release .
  • Lead design reviews during design, development, verification , manufacturing design transfer and commercial release phase of the program and ensure closure of gating and non gating actions that come up during informal and formal design reviews and milestone reviews.
  • Ensure high levels of quality in the design output specific to labeling and User Communication, Target Zero rework during development and release phase and be accountable for cost of non quality.
  • Ensure compliance to applicable standards , good documentation practices , Regulatory procedures , QMS Work instructions and GE Healthcare Work instructions.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline ,use judgment and analytical thinking ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address complex processes .Uses technical experience and influential skills in driving technically viable solutions . Engage multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field.

Required Qualifications

  • This role requires advanced experience in U comm content development , technical writing and good understanding of documentation design and development tools like Oxygen XMl editor, Adobe FrameMaker, Arbortext editor, Adobe InDesign ,Microsoft Visio , HyperSTE and graphic tools like Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator . Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with relevant experience.
