    Roles and responsibilities 

    Functional Knowledge
    Accountable for the client face activities in India and across all business clusters
    In-Depth knowledge of regulatory framework and external factors that will influence demand for planning and analysis and related management activities
    Accountable for publishing key reports to management on the performance of the Bank's businesses.
    Technical expert / Subject matter expert on reporting key metrics and drives vision for the team.
    Has in-depth knowledge of the reporting techniques, tools, calibrates to industry wide benchmarks
    Lead the Evolution of service model for the function to setup the COE and drive standardization , enhance client facing relationship , drive end-to-end process ownership, upgrade/enhance business partner capabilities , drive CoE approach, upgrade/enhance analytic capabilities

    Business Expertise
    Deep technical knowledge and experience with broad, comprehensive knowledge of Industry
    Extensive Knowledge of how the function integrates with the overall function globally to achieve business objectives

    Define and implement robust controls and procedures throughout the performance reporting layer and ensure best practices are being followed
    Extensive knowledge and appreciation of how the function rolls up into key businesses and their decision making
    High level of awareness on Risk and control process in Finance
    Ensure adherence to the key controls framework implemented and operated by the wider Finance teams.
    Review current processes and controls with the aim of delivering efficiencies, either by leveraging off future IT developments, or improved production processes.

    Proactively seeks to create shared perspectives between teams
    Constructively challenges silo working within and outside their area.
    Clearly understands what team members need and actively uses this to develop them. Takes a cross-functional perspective on talent retention and talent development.
    Build a strong second line leadership and succession plan within the layer
    Passionate about developing talent within the team and consistently facilitates constructive development of others
    Develop a strong career progression plan and delivers that for the team in partnership with the wider Finance vision
    Maintain a healthy Spans and Layers within the team
    Interpersonal
    This role will have key relationships across all the clusters leads within the group. This role will report into Head of BP&A and Cost Management in India.
    Key relationships will be each of the various Business Process and Analytics and related internal reporting leads within each of O&T areas. The role will be responsible for the deliverables of the function into these key stakeholders including reporting on Key risk indicators, health of the team, driving business requirements from a top-down approach.
    Enabler of key objectives for each of the leads to drive towards the common objective of the firm
    The role will become the Go-To person for reporting to the various FP&A O&T heads. These are global business heads and the role will be responsible functionally to all these clusters that are supported out of India.
    Driving continuous improvement / Nature of impact
    Set strategic decision for business and executive
    Interpretative thinking and advanced analytical skills to problem-solve in often complex / sensitive situations
    Deliver on Location strategy by delivering more drops into this layer based on both demand and also influence what roles are to be moved
    Drive standardisation across the layer with a view to enable a scalable model that will create efficiencies
    Ensure optimal deployment of resources to achieve business goals

    Required Candidate profile

    Relevant experience in area with a top tier bank with proven experience in senior management/leadership position
    Ability to build and lead a large team
    Ability to develop and implement strategic vision for the department
    Deep technical knowledge and experience, with broad, comprehensive knowledge of industry specifically around Business Performance
    In-depth knowledge of various reporting techniques and Key metrics
    Extensive knowledge of competitor landscape
    Deep Knowledge on analytics and research related to reporting
    Ability to define measures (both financial and non-financial) along with relevant commercial value drivers
    Extensive knowledge of how the function integrates with the business division\group to achieve overall business objectives
    Proven track record in the field
    Excellent communications skills
    Team player, good analytical skills, conscientious, high levels of integrity, pro-active
    Ability to work at a high level in a stressful and challenging environment
    Superior influencing and negotiating skills. Ability to do that at Sr stakeholders levels at MD, CFO, Business Managers, etc
