Assistant – ARFF

Purpose/Objective:

Fire Fighter -ARFF will play an important role, during turn out, shall be responsible for carrying out Firefighting, initiate Rescue Operations an adhere to the instructions determined by In-charge CFT/ Duty Manager to achieve the turn out objective.*Description for Internal Candidates*Key Responsibilities of Role:

During turn out, shall be responsible to carry out the fire fighting by using sideline, DCP line, and initiate Rescue Operations.

Ensure High degree of alertness when maintaining CFT stand by. Perform Specific Tasks as and when directed by In-charge CFT.

Complete all designated trainings and drills in stipulated time.

Perform Serviceability and inventory Check of CFT and communicate the observations to the In-charge CFT.

Maintain Fire Station /appliances and fire fighting facilities in terminal buildings, cargo areas, fuel alarms etc. Perform Operational checks of Equipment's/Appliances as per schedule.

Sincerity in carrying out various check and inspections and observations recorded in check list.

Optimum and judicious use of extinguishing media shall be a key result area expected from the role.

Conversant in R/T communications.

Performance during Annual Performance Evaluation Test(PET)

Maintain Mental and Physical Fitness.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification 

Essential:  10+2 with valid Heavy Transport Vehicle (HTV) Driving License.

• Should possess Basic Firefighting certification from Aviation Fire Training Centre.

Desired:   Technical / Functional Skills:

• Possess Firemanship Course Certification from Aviation Fire Training Centre
• Basic computer knowledge
• Basic First Aid Certification

Experience:

Should have at least 0- 2 years experience of working with Aviation Fire Service.
