Associate Lead – Procurement
Job Description
Associate Lead - Procurement will develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives. This role involves sourcing and negotiating contracts, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
Role & responsibilities
- PR review, identify the requirement and action the same
- Coordinate with respective technical team for understanding and collecting details related to requirements
- Consolidation of common requirements following to review of PR
- Preparation of inquiry / Tender Documents as per inputs from Engineering/Facility/Operation Department and floating the same to the prequalified bidders.
- Coordination end user for vendor query resolution and response to vendors
- Comparative preparation rates, terms and conditions
- Preparing internal costing
- Preparation of NFA
- Preparation of LOA/PO after NFA approval
- Coordination with respective airport Techno Commercial Team.
- Interaction with Engineering, Estimation, Logistics, Project Management, Quality, Business Development, Human Resources, Finance & Accounts, MAAS, Taxation and Legal for Package Specific requirements
- MIS
Procurement Strategy: Implement procurement strategies that support company goals. Ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive initiatives to reduce procurement expenses. Implement strategies to optimize procurement costs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth procurement processes and integration with other business functions.
Supplier Management: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and conduct regular performance reviews. Address and resolve any supplier issues.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Monitor adherence to standards and regulations.
Management Insights: Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on procurement best practices and strategic decisions.
Market Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions. Use this knowledge to inform procurement strategies and decisions.
Reporting: Prepare and present reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and other key metrics to senior management.
Digital mindset: Champions a digital mindset within the organization to drive innovation and competitiveness. Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness.

Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Master's degree
Work Experience:
6-10 years of experience in procurement of electrical/mechanical/civil commodities of infrastructure projects. having experience in procuring a wide range of products/services (like MEP, Equipment, IT consumables & Services. Basic understanding of contracting, taxation etc. MIS preparation, experience of working in SAP/ERP system.
Certification: Professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management preferred

UG:B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical
PG:MS/M.Sc(Science) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering,M.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical,PG Diploma in Civil, Mechanical
