Job Description

Job Purpose (Job Summary):

This role would primarily work with Data Integrity team as a Advanced DIS analyst and would be responsible for running the data quality validations on day to day basis. This role would help in enhancing the data integrity capability through implementing the data quality checks with in EDP and perform the validations regularly to improve the overall investment master data while continuing to enhance data quality operational model. As part of EDP, this role actively works on data analysis, Exception resolution, and new data quality implementations with in Data lake. The Role would face data owners, data stewards and data custodians and work with them in resolving the data exceptions and communicate to business clients and actively manage the DIS (Data Integrity Services) demand of data quality and assist Invesco develop a new data integrity approach.

With strong domain and in depth understanding of Investment data, data quality concepts, this role is expected to perform daily, monthly and adhoc data validations using data quality tools like IDQ (Informatica Data Quality) and help strengthen the data quality with in EDP.


Key Responsibilities / Duties:

Develop a strong understanding of end-to-end investment management processes, the required data to support these processes, and the data quality and delivery issues that may impact the business on an on-going basis

Perform validations on day to day basis and work towards resolving exceptions with data owners and communicate to data subscribers / internal business clients.

Identify opportunities for data quality improvements, capture requirements and work with GIDS Analysts and assist in implementing strategic data validations

Work with different data owners, data custodians and build robust data issue resolutions methods and design effective communication plans with data subscribers.

Monitor automated data quality tools to help identify gaps in the data

Collaborate closely with developers, capture requirements, test the implemented data quality validations and ensure smooth transition into BAU

Provide comprehensive data analysis of all investment data domains and assist in data profiling and implementing data quality rules within Enterprise data Platform

Provide and support the implementation of data quality automation solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key business stakeholders; determining and carrying out required analysis; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing data demands,

Manage internal departmental relationships and expectations by developing a communication process to keep all data subscribers up to date on data validation results.

Demonstrate fluency in Investment Operations domain, business processes and process differentiation


Work Experience / Knowledge:

Experience in in Asset Management/ Investment operations domain with strong knowledge and in-depth understanding of investment data

Very strong Problem-Solving Skills with good analysis skills

Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Investment operations

Organizational skills necessary to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and process several streams of work simultaneously

Strong knowledge of the Microsoft products,

Understanding of Client reporting data and investment analytics information

Knowledge/ Experience in Data Lake is preferable.

Working Conditions:

Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures

The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 30 pounds is also necessary

Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment

Hours include alternate shift work, evenings and/or weekends
