  • Identifies potential electrical hazards in work areas; follows electrical isolation procedures and PPE protocols diligently.
  • Understands emergency response protocolsincluding procedures for electrical shocks, arc flashes, and fire suppression methods.

Soldering and PCB Assembly:

  • Performs through-hole and surface-mount soldering of components (resistors, capacitors, ICs) on printed circuit boards with adherence to IPC-A-610 standards.
  • Uses microscopes for fine-pitch hand soldering of RF and high-density components; familiar with ESD-safe practices.
  • Handles RF connectors (SMA, MMCX), shielded enclosures, and basic PCB layout concepts during assembly tasks.

Understanding Schematics & Implementing Requirements:

  • Reads and interprets electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and identifies connectors, pins, and signal paths accurately.
  • Assists in the translation of schematic diagrams into actual wiring and assembly tasks, ensuring compliance with integration guidelines.

Problem-Solving, Critical Thinking & Troubleshooting:

  • Uses basic electrical measuring tools (e.g., DMM, continuity tester) to isolate circuit faults and assists in resolving component-level issues.
  • Supports engineering teams in identifying causes of circuit failures and participates in corrective action implementation.

Cable Harness Preparation and Routing:

  • Identifies MIL-STD connectors, understands pin configurations, and prepares basic harnesses under guided supervision.
  • Operates crimping tools, IR testers, and locators for assembling and validating simple wire harnesses and electrical cable assemblies.

Assembly or Integration of Systems and Maintenance:

  • Participates in the assembly of electrical sub-systems as per layout instructions.
  • Identifies standard electrical tools and uses them for measuring tools like current, voltage, resistance and continuity etc; supports integration technicians in setting up systems.
  • Assists in routine preventive maintenance, minor upgrades, and replacement of electrical components.
  • Assembly or Sub-Assembly Realization;
  • Understands sub-assembly sequencing, torquing practices, and fastener types relevant to electrical system build-up.
  • Maintains awareness of CEMILAC and ENTEST protocols, supporting regulatory compliance through accurate assembly execution.

Technical Documentation:

  • Prepares basic SOPs, route cards, and checklists based on standard formats; documents component serial numbers and assembly dates.
  • Updates logs and work orders with assembly completion status and defect tags (if C4applicable) under the guidance of senior personnel.
  • Team Support & Continuous Learning;
  • Works closely with senior engineers to absorb knowledge of advanced tools and systems used in electronics.
