Job Description

Role & responsibilities


Strategic Roles and Responsibilities


Support the Site HR and Admin Head to formulate plans and strategies to drive People Operations at the site

Support IR plans and strategies assigned to the site

Organization Sustainability


Alignment to the established band/grade matrix while hiring at the site level

Participate in periodic governance councils to share insights from a site IR & ER perspective; Responsible for implementation of the action plans at the site level

ER & IR Framework


Support in implementation of any policies in IR council meetings conducted at the site to provide appropriate aid to labour

Communicate action plans for policy adoption; Drive adherence to the same at the site level

People Operations


Closely working with EIC and contractors for ensure properly followed organization defined process

Supervise Site documents and records related to contractor onboarding and monthly compliance documents

ER & IR Process


Labour Relations

Interact frequently with labour and trade unions at the site and build relationships with them for benefit of labour and management

Partner with the BU IR Lead to help resolve labour grievances

Statutory Compliance

Ensure complete and accurate documentation at the site level and ensure adherence to various statutory compliances such as Factories Act, Contract Labour Act, EPF Act, Employees' Compensation Act, Payment of Wages Act, Payment of Bonus Act etc,POSH act

Preparation various details and documents for statutory returns

Manage FRRO process of EXPATS

CLMS & Legatrix

Involved in contractor onboard process

Ensure all statutory compliance record of contractors

Ensure all task shall update in Legatrix

Prepare documents as per Legatrix task

Audit &MIS

Execute periodic health checks at the site; Analyse IR health of the sites and devise plans for resolution of issues

Prepare data for various MIS

KRONOS

Mange end to end KRONOS process, regular meeting with EIC and contractors

Ensure 100% compliance score in KRONOS

Prepare various report and tracking of KRONOS report

Closely working with MDM team

Ensure bill verification process of contractors in KRONOS

HR Technology Enablement and Analytics


Keep up to date with HR technological developments for adopting relevant practices for greater efficiency

Analyse site employee data to generate IR & ER related strategic insights from employee data

Key Interactions

Internal


External

Collaborate with key stakeholders to share Site manpower requirements


Active participation in varied forums and conferences to explore emerging IR & ER trends

Work alongside stakeholders from different functions (E.g.: IT, Shared services, finance) and seek support for deployment of IR initiatives


Interact with existing partners and consultants to reinforce working relationship, strengthen collaboration, track project deliveries and mitigate risks if any

Interact with Security/ Admin/ Legal/ CSR teams to devise integrated approach in case of site issues


Build strong relationships with government authorities, local communities and unions and leverage them for the organizations benefit

Liaise with Site HR and Admin Head regarding staff appointments, terminations, remunerations, conditions of service and other relevant matter


Liaise with management and staff regarding all pay queries


Preferred candidate profile


Bachelors degree in law/ MSW/MLW

Strong knowledge and experience with labour law, collective bargaining, contract management, union campaigns and organizational culture.

  • Closely work for ensuring statutory compliance at the site level as well as resolving issues related to trade union relations and labour law
