Laboratory Lead

Role & responsibilities

• Overseeing and managing the daily operations of the laboratory

• Planning, developing, and implementing laboratory services

• Ensuring laboratory compliance with all relevant quality management standards and Safety protocols.

• Accountable for Annual Plan & Budget of CAPEX and OPEX for Laboratory.

• Accountable for Process Safety Management elements and procedures in Laboratory.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

• Provide technical guidance and support for complex laboratory tests and procedures.

• Perform periodic internal audits as per management requirement and conduct dept audits

• Continual improvement and cost optimization by introducing latest innovation and new method in lab testing & analysis.

• Stay updated with changes in quality standards, regulations, and implement best practices,

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to senior engineers and managers.

• Facilitate harmonization and consistent implementation of quality systems and procedures at site

• Design, implement and review for compliance related to SOPs, policies, standards and quality systems

• Ensure and address quality issues realted to customer complaints.

• Accountable for the release of finished products clearance certificate

Preferred candidate profile

• Relevant Laboratory experience of 20 - 25 years in Petrochemicals/Refinery/Fertilizer Industries.

• Proven track record in Lab Setup and commissioning.

• Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.

• Should have deep understanding of a Petrochemical complex.

• Familiarization with various statutory and Environmental norms.

• Certifications in laboratory management will be added as an advantage.
