Laboratory officer

Role & responsibilities

• Managing the shift operations of the laboratory.

• Ensure and maintain all laboratory certifications/documents.

• Execute Process Safety Management elements and procedures in Laboratory.

• Participate in regular audits and inspections of laboratory processes and equipment.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.

• Certification of products and issuance of quality certificates to customers.

• Timely & accurate validation of results and reporting

• Implement compliance related to SOPs, policies, standards and quality systems

• Ensure and address quality issues realted to customer complaints.

• Execution of calibration and maintenance as per PM schedule.

• Upgrading of inventory of the spares replaced during PM/BD.

• Ensure safety practices and work instructions are followed during his shifts

• Updation of standard test methods viz, ASTM, IP, ISO, UOP, BIS, APHA, etc.

• Ensuring the sample analysis is as per schedule, reliability of results and timely validation of results in LIMS

• Ensure housekeeping of Laboratory Area including gas cylinder house and sample retention area and surrounding lab territory.

Preferred candidate profile

• Relevant Laboratory experience of 5 years in Petrochemicals/Refinery/Fertilizer Industries.

• Proven track record in Lab Operations.

• Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.

• Familiarization with various statutory and Environmental norms.
