Lead -Instrumentation Engineer
Job Description
Role & responsibilities :
1. Act as the ultimate technical authority and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all Instrumentation systems design decisions. Develop and implement strategic Instrumentation systems design plans aligned with company objectives and project requirements.
2. Lead the conceptualization, detailed design, and engineering of all Instrumentation systems for various land parcels ensuring compliance with relevant Indian and international standards, and in close coordination with local Authoritoes like MCGM.
3. Act as the ultimate technical authority and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all Instrumentation systems design decisions.
4. Oversee and review all Instrumentation systems design drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical reports for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design standards.
5. Drive the adoption of new technologies, sustainable design practices, and energy-efficient solutions in Instrumentation systems.
6. Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and value engineering for Instrumentation systems to ensure designs optimize performance, reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
7. Collaborate closely with Master planner and other engineering disciplines, PMC team to ensure integrated and coordinated designs, manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for Instrumentation systems activities.
8. Represent the company in discussions with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities on Instrumentation systems matters
9. Ensure all Instrumentation systems comply with local statutory regulations, codes, and permitting requirements in Mumbai and Maharashtra.
10 Lead the design and integration of Smart City and SCADA systems within Instrumentation systems, ensuring robust, scalable, and future-ready infrastructure. deployment of SCADA for real-time system monitoring, fault diagnostics, and energy efficiency.
11 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical compliance and seamless interoperability of Instrumentation systems.
Preferred candidate profile :
1. Bachelors degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics with more than 15+ years of work experience
2. Knowledge of design software such as (Water GEMS, SWMM, Etc.)
3. Candidate should have Project Management Skills with working knowledge of Planning and Scheduling ,Resource Coordination,Budgeting and Cost Estimation & Risk Management:
4. Knowledge of Regulatory and Standards & Documentation and Reporting
5. Environmental Compliance: Understanding of pollution control norms, water quality standards, and discharge regulations.
6. Technical Domain
- Software Proficiency
- AutoCAD for drafting and reviewing instrumentation layouts and P&IDs.
- SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI / INtools) – for instrument index, datasheets, and loop diagrams.
- EPLAN or AVEVA Instrumentation – for electrical and instrumentation design.
- PLC Programming Software – such as Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley RSLogix, Schneider EcoStruxure.
- SCADA Systems – such as Wonderware, GE iFIX, or Schneider Citect.
- Microsoft Office Suite – for documentation, reporting, and analysis.
- MATLAB / LabVIEW (optional) – for advanced signal processing and data analysis.
