Role & responsibilities
Manufacturing Engineering Specialist in an ammunition plant would be responsible for optimizing and maintaining the pro-duction process, ensuring quality and efficiency, and collaborating with other teams to achieve production goals. They would analyze existing processes, implement improvements, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory stand-ards. Additionally, they would be involved in training staff, monitoring production metrics, and staying updated on the latest manufacturing technologies.
- Analyze and identify areas for improvement in the ammunition manufacturing process, developing strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
- Implement process improvements, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
- Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment, ensuring its operational readiness and minimizing downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and other teams to streamline operations, address issues, and achieve production targets.
- Implement and monitor quality control processes, ensuring that the manufactured ammunition meets required standards and specifications.
- Collect, analyze, and report on production metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Assist in training staff on new processes, technologies, and safety procedures.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in manufacturing technologies and industry best practices.
- Address production issues and bottlenecks, developing and implementing solutions to maintain optimal production flow.
Preferred candidate profile
Educational Qualification: Must: • BE / BTech Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering Desirable • Six Sigma Certified • • APQP & PPAP Documentation knowledge as Per ISO 9001:2015 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying and addressing production issues.
Relevant Experience:
Must: • BE / B.Tech - Minimum of 05 years related experience Familiarity with manufacturing software (e.g., CAD, CAM, ERP) is a plus.
