Role & responsibilities

Skill set

Powertrain Components CAD Design - CATIA V5 or 3DX, Teamcenter, GDT and Stackup

Domain knowledge

BE/ME Mechanical or Automobile Engineering with 4 to 6 Years of experience in powertrain components (Engine or Transmission or Driveline)
Strong Hands-on experience in New drawing creation, Vehicle Packaging & Engineering Change management
Must have Good working Experience in GDT, PLM Tools/Methods
Must have Work Experience in Stack Up analysis (Linear/Fastener/Axial/Radial)
Exposure to VSA is an added advantage
should be Proficient in Microsoft office tools

Job Description

Creation of New drawings for Prototype/Initial release (Casting, machining, Molding, forming, stamping etc.,)
Packaging, Clearance/Interference and Design rule checks for Powertrain/Vehicle components
Design proposals and CAD Remastering of powertrain components
Perform Stack-up Analysis (linear, axial/radial & fastener) for Powertrain Systems and sub systems
3D Model and Drawing updates as per Engineering Change requests
Drawing Prints checking as per Drafting Standards
Creation and Maintenance of master cross sections and Layouts for powertrain assemblies
Creation and Maintenance of Powertrain assemblies using CAD/PLM tools
